The Clarion Reference KJV is just beautiful to read.
I have been using David Norton's edition (New Cambridge Paragraph Bible) for a while and have been hoping that Cambridge would produce a more hand friendly size. Also, the cover on the NCPB was not up to Cambridge's usual standards. This Bible is NOT David Norton's edition; it is the older standard setting of the KJV text used by Cambridge. This is good in that Norton's distracting quotation marks are gone and the italics are retained; bad in that I have gotten use to and enjoy his improved orthography. The Bible is thicker than is typical for one of this size. It feels good in the hand. The text, though small, is quite readable; it is aligned nicely from page to page to minimize ghosting. The references are in the outer margin and are well done (I thought I would prefer them in the inner, margin but there is so much thought in the layout that I'm going to concede to the editors that they know best). The verse numbers and reference marks do not detract from reading. This is a Bible for reading.I got the brown leather cover and it is lovely. It has art gilt edging (gold over a layer of red), two brown ribbons (should have been a different color), a presentation page (blank, just lines), and color maps from Moody.I have not much used the companion concordance/dictionary at the back; but when I have I have found it helpful. Plus, it looks better that a list of tiny words.

I am Not disappointed one little bit
Hi. Well, this bible is quite frankly a work of art. The King James translation just simply flows in the paragraph format and to be honest, is the only way to read the King James. The verse numbers blend and disappear in to the text, which I like. (You have to search for the verse numbers in other words). I bought the brown calf skin with a dark brown liner inside the cover. The print is an average size to read, I wear glasses and have no problems at all with the font. I am amazed how small and light the Bible is considering the layout font size and what it contains, readers companion(including map reference index), 15 maps. The original 1611 Translators to the Reader document is a nice inclusion. Quality of workmanship is first class. I have only one slightly negative comment, the paper could be a little bit thicker. It may make it a bit thicker and heavier but it would be worth it. As I mentioned earlier, this is a small and light bible, not pocket size but small. One last thing. The delivery was super quick, I was surprised, yes I paid the extra but I ordered this on Tuesday from America and it arrived at my house in Bangkok Friday lunchtime. First class work Amazon and DHL.God Bless all.

Gorgeous!
This Cambridge Bible is a work of art. The leather is soft and very pliable, and the printing is clear. Yes, the pages are thin and this results in some "ghosting", but if you slightly lift the page you are reading, the ghosting disappears. The printers made sure to line up the type on both sides of the pages so that the see-thru is minimized. That said, this Bible is easy to read, feels very nice in the hands and is an excellent portable size. I look forward to many hours of reading in this beautiful Book!Update 1/5/2014:After looking at this Bible for a few days, I realized that there is a crease 1/8" from the top of EVERY page, and page #1381 in the book of Joel is extremely wrinkled. For the amount of money paid, I expect better quality control for the edition of the Bible. I am returning it this week.

Finally, a KJB that I can read!!
The most valuable feature of this Bible is the layout of the text. Most KJBs (King James Bibles) use a verse-by-verse format in which every verse is formatted like a paragraph, which results in a very awkward reading experience, but this Bible is a single column, paragraphed edition of the KJB, and as such, it is a rare gem. This modern formatting makes it easier to understand and more pleasant to read.I do have two criticisms of this book: The paper is thinner than other Cambridge Clarion Bibles. This results in more ghosting than one would ordinarily find in them. The ghosting, however, is not terrible; it does not hinder reading, and the thinner paper results in a lighter Bible to carry around. The other issue is that the liner inside the cover is black, while the cover of the book is brown. It would have been more fitting, I think, to make the liner brown. These issues are why I gave this Bible four stars instead of five. All in all, this Bible is one of the best KJBs on the market, and the reduced price at Amazon makes it quite a bargain. From now on, this will be my personal go-to Bible for both reading and studying.

Beautiful and Wonderfully Made, yet very functional
The descriptions of the this Bible don’t even come close to the real item! This is in handy we’ll made Bible! It is small but easy to read. I am always impressed by the craftmanship of a Cambridge Bible. I am a huge KJV fan. This Bible is well worth the cost.

Great choice
I shopped around a bit before purchasing this edition of the Bible.1. Love the format! Other reviewers have said it, but this is a reader's Bible! I'm very easily distracted and the layout of his edition makes it a lot easier to focus2. Like the references to the side of the text-like I said, easily distracted so the references in the center can be detrimental to my reading focus :)3. Paper is EXTREMELY THIN. This makes it difficult to quickly flip to q passage for fear of ripping, but also makes it very compact. There is minimal ghosting but not enough to distract me. I have only used a soft pencil for underlining for fear of marking through too much and it's been fine4. This is NOT a Bible to use for sword drills and the like-it not always easy to quickly find a passage...but not overly difficult5. Love the binding. The calfskin is soft but still holds form. For me, this was a good choice. I'm super OCD about my pages not being protected and getting messed up. The stiffness of the calfskin is enough to relieve part of my anxiety. Any softer and I'd be nuts!6. Love the size! Not too large or small. A real carrying/reader's Bible. Wish it were a tiny bit thinnerAll in all great purchase
