Never looking back
Nearly returned these because I’m an idiot who didn’t realise the battery I’d put in one was dead -__- So to make up for my mistake I thought I’d write a review. I’ve bought quite a few pairs of socks like these over the past couple of years. All within the £35-50 range and seem to be very similar. As someone with perpetually cold feet they’ve been nothing short of life changing for me. HOWEVER, they do tend to break in under a year for me. But, It’s a cost I’m willing to pay for the only thing that’s ever brought true comfort to my feet. I never noticed before how much thought and worry I put into keeping my feet warm in any given situation before I started wearing these. Here are some things I do to try to preserve them: - wearing them sandwiched between two pairs of socks to keep them protected from your direct foot stank (germs) and direct shoe/floor stank (germs), meaning you don’t need to wash them as often. This is the most common cause of breakage for me. - Take a bit of care pulling them on/off. Be aware of where the wires are. Tugging too hard on them is the close second cause of breakage for me. - Specifically, if you’re trying to adjust the toe area, grab the sock from either side rather than at the very end (so grab next to your big toe and little toe) as I’ve personally broken countless socks from trying to adjust them by grabbing the very end. Before I realised this was the issue, it was my leading cause of breakage. The positive about a few broken socks over time is that you accumulate lots of batteries, which is great! I usually only need the lowest setting, and they’ll last most of the day. One full day usually takes around 1.5 batteries on the lowest setting. Size-wise, they seem to be quite stretchy. I’m a UK size 8 and they fit me perfectly. I’d say they might be a little big for people with very small feet, but probably not unmanageably so.

Disappointed but maybe I should have expected this quality for the price
When they work, they are great, however, unfortunately the battery packs lose charge even when the socks aren't on. This means that charge doesn't carry over to the next day and have to be charged every night even if they have only been used for 20 minutes the morning before. The packs take a long time to charge and are a bit bulkier than I would like. The socks are thinck and warm. The warming wires aren't too obvious and the socks are generally comfortable to wear. Socks are very long so you must be happy having them stick out the top of even knee high boots

Woman with size 7 feet here ...
Black Friday Week and 3rd time lucky with heated socks! First pair (different make) had a faulty battery that wouldn't charge, so never got to try the socks. Second pair were massive and very wide, definitely mens socks even though they were advertised as one size for men and women. Also had very uncomfortable wires. Almost gave up at this point but the many hundreds of positive reviews across many different makes/sellers prompted me to try one more time while Black Friday offers were still available. So I searched for ladies socks that had reviews from actual women and took a chance on these. I am a womens size 7 and these are a much better fit (at least the heel isn't at the back of my calf with reams of excess fabric around the toes) and the heating element is unobtrusive. They arrived with fully charged batteries unlike the other 2 pairs I tried, and also can be controlled via an app which is handy as the socks are long and the batteries sit at the top on the outside of the leg and can be awkward to get to especially if wearing long boots or skinny jeans. Haven't given them a proper test drive yet, but tried in the house and all seems well. All 3 pairs that I tried are thicker than normal socks, but that's OK as all my winter footwear allows for extra socks because I spend a lot of time outdoors and suffer miserably with cold feet. I dropped a star as it annoying that they aren't made specifically for womens feet, and because the bulky battery might be a problem with wellies and long boots. It's about the size of a credit card but as thick as a mobile phone. I suppose I'll have to wait a few years for improved tech. Fingers crossed that I won't have to buy disposable heat packs any more as although these socks aren't cheap they will hopefully save me money in the long run.

No more cold feet
Ridden my MTB a couple of times wearing these socks and I'm very pleased with them, the app works well and the socks are very comfortable, the last two winters have been miserable at times when our on the bike and I have spent a lot on boots that haven't solved the problem of painfully cold feet these socks have done that and for a fraction of the cost of winter cycling boots.

Batteries take far too long to fully charge
Whilst they warm up quickly so far the batteries have taken 8 hours and are still not fully charged. Not great for someone who needs them for more than a couple of hours
