This laptop is strange and I don't know if its problems have anything to do with it directly or with its Intel CPU (Ultra 9 185h). The 2 notable issues are: 1. The HDMI 2.1 port doesn't do 4k @120hz. I attempted to connect this to my LG C2 OLED TV (4k 120hz) with several different certified HMDI 2.1 cables and it refuses to show 4k at 120hz. However it does work when you use a USB-C to HDMI 2.1 cable. Strange. It's hard to diagnose if its the port. 2. The bulky 90w charger works fine, but I purchased a sleeker 100w Anker charger and it won't charge. Again, Don't know if it is the laptop's fault or possibly some issue with the CPU. I updated the BIOS and it briefly worked, but then went back to not detected the charger. Overall, I'm super optimistic for this laptop. The RGB keyboard along with the 3.2k 120hz OLED screen scream "Gaming Laptop" and although it is not, it can easily become an enticing lightweight "Gaming Laptop" when you use services like Geforce Now (Ultimate). For this price, or even for $1000 more, there aren't any gaming laptops that can support that kind of gaming experience using their built in hardware which makes this a compelling proposition. Aside from the HMDI port and the 3rd party charging compatibility I have just 1 minor gripe and that's that 16gb of RAM feels insufficient. It would be an absolutely easy choice if it came with 32gb. Windows 11 alone consumes half of that and with just a few chrome tabs opened, you're pushing it.

I WENT THROUGH ABOUT 6 LAPTOPS; BUYING AND RETURNING EACH ONE TO FINALLY ARRIVE AT THIS ONE, AND I AM TALKING ABOUT A 2019 AND 2020 MACBOOK PRO, A DELL LAPTOP, AN LG, AND OTHERS- THIS ASUS IS SO FAR, THE BEST LAPTOP IV OWNED. ITS KEYBOARD IS RESPONSIVE AND EASY TO USE, THE BACKSPACE AND ENTER KEY IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE REST OF THE KEYS, THE LG WAS THE WORST FOR THAT...EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS PERFECT AND THE ONLY THING YA MAY WANT TO NOTICE IS THE GLOSSY SCREEN FOR WORKING IN LIT UP ROOMS. THE BATTERY IS LONG LASTING AND IT DON'T MAKE NOISES FROM A FAN AND DON'T GET HOT AND ITS JUST SO GOOD I WANT TO CUDDLE UP NEXT TO IT AND WHISPER SWEET NOTHINGS INTO ITS DIGITAL YONIC SPOT.

This laptop has no right to be as good as it appears to be. It's on the budget end of the price range, but with features of a flagship. The processor is VERY fast, the screen is STUNNING, the battery is large, the keyboard is great (not Dell XPS or Lenovo Carbon X1 great, but closer than any laptop in this price range has the right to be), and the touchpad is huge and responsive (not glass, but very pleasant). The finish is great, but it is a fingerprint (oil) magnet. I bought it for one of my parents whose older laptop is no longer sufficient. Honestly, if it had a 32GB ram option (would definitely pay up to $300 for that) I'd buy another for myself even though I don't need one, and would be willing to replace my 10th gen 14" Carbon X1 due to better battery life and vastly better screen at a fraction of the cost.

Okay, I know what you're thinking - that screen and those specs at this price point?? What a steal!! Because I thought the same thing. Yes, the screen on this thing is absolutely beautiful and it performs lightning fast. However, there is a huge catch here: this is the cheapest build quality possible. Basically, premium specs shoved into a budget tier body. I have my doubts that this model would even make it through a year of daily use without falling apart, perhaps unless you never moved it from a desk (in which case, you might as well buy a more powerful desktop and bigger monitor for less). The body is also a fingerprint magnet, and the fingerprints are not easy to wipe off and require alcohol wipes or similar to remove. So it feels cheap and fragile to begin with, and being covered in fingerprints quickly makes it look cheap too. There are other issues. The keyboard also feels like a budget tier laptop keyboard. The keys are a tad flimsy feeling and have considerable travel, as well as a soft press that lacks tactical feel. It's not the worst keyboard I've ever used, but definitely does not match how laptop keyboards at this price point should feel. The speakers are not the worst I've heard from a laptop either but are also not very good. They don't get very loud and lack any low end. For instance, I feel like an iPad has "fuller" sound. Also a little concerning is that I noticed it tends to run warm to hot when running 120hz, even when handling light loads. When considering the screen, the performance, and these issues, I'd say this averages out to about 3/5 stars. Ultimately I decided it was not worth the risk of possibly having a $1,000 device fall apart within a year and am returning it. I believe mid-range and higher laptops should last at least five years.

let's face it, at this price point, the specifications are to0 good to be true. The screen was amazing and honestly the laptop was pretty fast, however the mouse tracker pad was unusable and seemed like it got stuck at times. The body of the laptop is a fingerprint/oil magnet, your laptop will look like a 15 year old teenager's oily forehead in no time. Overall, I ended up returning it due to the unusable mouse tracking pad. Also, the palm sensitivity was too high, so writing a document became difficult unless i raised my palms as I was typing. You've been warned! Don't fall for the fast CPU and beautiful screen.
