Exact replacement for Acer Aspire A517-51G
Exact replacement for Acer Aspire A517-51G that won't run an NVMe drive. Good to find an M.2 SATA replacement. Super easy to pop the bottom cover on this laptop. All same size screws and all you need is a thin putty knife to pry loose the press-fit tabs.

Backup Drive, Works!
Why, you ask did I buy this drive? Because sometimes when I install software it goes really wrong. (Free Sage Advice Alert: A) You are only as good as your last backup!, B) LOCKS method: Lots of Copies Keep'em Safe!) I bought a Micron M.2 256 Gb because it identically matched my laptop's drive as well as this Micron 512 Gb drive. Bought these at different times and they worked great (Bought 256 Gb July 16, 2018). The only bad thing about this purchase was the drive got delivered in a plastic bubble wrap envelope without the anti-static bag. Shocked, pun intended, that this drive even survived delivery let alone worked! I gave it five stars because the drive worked en-spite of the vendor's current shipping standards. Used these to make a backup of my computer drive using Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5in HDD, SSD with Hard Drive Offline Duplicator/Cloner. Yes, I had to buy Sabrent M.2 SSD to 2.5-Inch SATA III Aluminum Enclosure Adapter (EC-M2SA) which was well worth it because it cloned them perfectly. Had to suspend bitlocker before cloning so I did not have to mess with it when I booted up of the cloned drive. I think it took about 45-ish minutes to cook the clone. Also cloned the Micron M.2 256 Gb to a larger a 512 Gb. Bought the EaseUS Partition Master to move the unallocated partition adjacent to the primary partition so I could enlarge the primary partition to ~470 Gb. However, made it look too easy because now my boss wants me to do their computer as well. However, my boss demanded that the internal drive could not be removed from said laptop in order to create the backup. So whipped out the purchase card and bought an Aluminum M.2 NGFF(B Key) to USB 3.1 Type-C M.2 SSD Enclosure Portable External Solid State Drive Enclosure (Black) to test to see if I could clone the internal drive using EaseUS Disk Copy Pro. Got my resume ready and the FTL drive spun up!

Discontinued Product Good Value
This is a discontinued product from Micron which is why it was only $22.00. It does seem NEW, and it works fine, but it would have been nice to know at the time of purchase that it was discontinued. There is no Manufactured Date on the label so I can't determine the actual age of the drive, and when on an On-Line Chat with Micron they couldn't tell either but promised to email that info to me. I would still have bought it for the value and the Micron name but information is always helpful
