Seems to work great
*UPDATE*It's been 5 years since I installed 4 of these in my home. I never had a problem with them, they continue to be very accurate and it's so much better than the old mechanical dial thermostats. It's a great peace of mind to set these to the desired temperature and leave it over night without worrying about my kids' room over heating during the night.I bought 4 of these for my home and they have been accurate and function well. Very easy to install and set up.

Heats Itself Up and Shuts Off Before Room Is Warm
Useless design because the T-stat heats itself up as it runs the heater and then shuts itself off before room is warm. Then the temp at the t-stat internally overshoots by several degrees even as the room remains cool or cold. After a while its internals cool enough to get it to run again, but by then it is so close to its own shut-off temp that it only runs for a minute or so before shutting down once again, long before the room is warm.Another reviewer made the same comments. Believe him! This is an unfixable design error. See my photos as to why this is so. The transistor inside the T-stat cover heats to excess of 120F (measured by by my infra red thermometer.) It is normal and expected for transistors to get hot. The entire heat sink - which is the black aluminum finned plate to which the transistor is mounted - gets to excess of 110F. When that happens the thermostat is fooled into thinking the room is warm long before it actually is. Once nicely preheated the heat sink only needs an occasional boost for a minute or two from the transistor to satisfy the t-stat again and so the system short-cycles.

Great Value. 15 minute install. No more erratic heat swings from crap anolog thermostats!
Keeping apartment heating controlled. Yes. 30 bucks. 15 minutes and you can control your heat! Will be an energy saver as old fashioned anolog thermostats can very up or down 10 degrees. This is way better! It's inline 220 volts so becareful. I had the landlord do it. Obviously turn off breaker box. LoL

Actually exceeded expectations
Easy to install and set up (select °F or °C and set temperature limits). Good instructions. Cooling fins for the solid-state switch advect air past the temperature sensor, making this thermostat more responsive than its bi-metal, mechanical competition. Accurate to about 1°F. Nice, simple user interface. (I like the indicator of fractional heater power.) Excellent price compared to the same thermostat sold as a name brand.

Great thermostat for the job.
Unlike most sold state in-line thermostats, this one is designed to work with wall heating units that have both resistive heat loads, and a small inductive fan load. Keeps the room at the required temp with very small and gentle temperature swings. Perfect comfort all winter long. It's also very easy to install.

Not usable
This did not work for me. I used it on a 2000 watt Cadet heater. The heater would run for less than one minute and then shut off. The thermostat generates its own heat. As soon as the temperature of the thermostat drops one degree below the set temp my heater runs for about 40 seconds until the thermostat starts to warm. Then I can watch the displayed temp continue to climb 2 or 3 more degrees. When the thermostat cools off it repeats this cycle. Garbage

Did not work with a forced air heater.
It said that it would work with a forced air heater. It did not with mine. It requires a certain resistence load to work.
