Great alternative power source
Super long cable (315 inches / ~26 feet / 8 meters) — This is the standout feature. You can route it from a distant outlet (garage, basement, or indoor wall) to your outdoor doorbell or upstairs thermostat without needing extensions or worrying about reach. Many shorter adapters (10-16 ft) fall short in real homes; this one gives you flexibility for clean, hidden installs along baseboards or exterior walls. Works seamlessly with all Ring Video Doorbell versions (including Pro, 2, 3/4, Plus), plus smart thermostats like Ecobee, Sensi, Honeywell, Nest (1st/2nd gen), and others needing 24V AC. Output is typically 24V/500mA, which matches or exceeds what these devices require for stable operation—no underpowering issues that cause random reboots or battery drain. If your setup lacks existing doorbell/transformer wiring or a C wire, and you want something affordable, long-reaching, and dead-reliable, grab this. It’s especially great for renters, older homes, or anyone avoiding wall modifications. Saved me from constant recharges and false alerts highly recommend for the price and convenience.

Easy install and works.
Easy install on a Sensi 2 thermometer. If you have a thermostat, usually older style, that uses battery and want to upgrade to a smart thermometer but dont have power coming to your thermostat like i did this will give you the power you need. My steam boiler only has two wires coming from the basement to the front of the house living room. Running a new cable would entail opening up walls or ceilings so i did some research and whoever doenst have an extra wire running up, this is the easiest solution. Some houses when they were wired, they ran three wires and only two were used you can use the spare one to power your smart thermostat or you can use the fan wire too, i did not have either. I chose a nearby outlet and decided to run the wire through the wall to make it look neat. Installed a ln outlet next to a light switch and looks good in my opinion. Power adapter plugs in and you just wire the ends to your RC and C terminals thats it youre done, polarity doesnt matter. Made a wooden frame for the thermostat using original wood and lath that was used to construct the house, Looks cheesy but i like it.

Works great when it does, but compatibility NOT guaranteed
I initially installed this with the base model Nest Thermostat. There's another review with pictures showing how to set it up. However, it did not work in my case. The Nest freaked out- it was showing the temperature as being way higher than it actually was (+15 F!!!), and I even got an email from Google saying I should immediately unplug the c-wire adaptor to avoid damage to my thermostat. So no, this adaptor is not always compatible with the devices that it claims. A lot is subject to your particular HVAC setup and its peculiarities. I ended up returning my Nest and getting an Ecobee 3 lite instead. The c-wire adaptor seems to be working perfectly with it without any issues (so far). I'll give some advice, including repeating what the other reviews have mentioned so that you can have an easier installation process. First, other than the lack of a c-wire, make sure your wiring and heating system is compatible with the smart thermostat you're using. Your thermostat company of choice should have a compatibility checker. Second, once you plug this in, the wire is LIVE. It should go without saying that you should INSTALL FIRST, PLUG IN SECOND. Third, if you own your home, i.e. you have the ability to mess with your HVAC wiring, just do that and forget about this product. You'll likely lose independent fan control but I don't see why that matters unless your fan is also a de-humidifier (in which case the situation might arise where you might want to run your fan without also running heat/cool). I live in an apartment and my fan is also a dehumidifier, so I'm a good case for this product. Lastly, This adaptor has two wires. One has a black stripe on it and the other one is plain white. I read in another review that these do different things, though I haven't tested the voltage/polarity myself. the white wire, without the black stripe, goes in C. My system has 4 wires: G, Y, R, W. When installing an Ecobee (probably also works with the fancier Nest thermostats, and some may have success with the base model Nest), the black-stripe wire gets bunched in with the R wire in the Rc slot, and the white-only wire goes in C. The wires in this adaptor are pretty thin but it can still be tough to fit it in with your R-wire. Other than that, follow all instructions in the instruction manual of your thermostat. Hope this is helpful!

Works very well as intended
Works perfectly for Google Nest doorbell and the Google Nest Thermostat that requires the "C" wire. I have a boiler that only has 2 wires that was hooked up to a mercury switch thermostat, however the Nest thermostat Requires a "C" wire that provides very low energy source. If you don't have one then this works very well, just attach the wires to Red with the Red wire coming from the boiler and the other to the "C" wire on the Nest Thermostat. Your all set. Doorbell is easier just attach the two wires to the doorbell (it doesn't matter which wire screws into the doorbell as far as left or right just screw them in) and plug it into a wall.

Easily installed.
Installed today as a “C” wire 24 volt a/c power supply for a new smart thermostat install. Seems to work as designed at this time. Was easy to install. The supplied 2 wire lead is very long and was sufficient to easily reach the desired location.

Great product, worked as expected

Works perfectly. Supplied a consistent 23V to my Ring Doorbell Pro after a quick household renovation. The extremely long cord was actually a life saver as we were able to run it from the basement fuse box to the mechanical chime, spliced ultimately to the doorbell
