Thin materials, thicker would've been better.
This is not suitable for sub-freezing temps. The materials are thin and won't keep your face warm, especially with the wind blowing. My most riding trip left my face cold and in want of something thicker like fleece. Should be okay for spring riding but definitely not winter weather. I was happy to have it vs. nothing at all.
