This stuff is great. I oversees every year, used then all. This stuff rocks. I just used this yo cover a huge part of my yard that was covered with 3.5 cubic yards of dirt. This was a total new seeding. It looks great. Came in full,thick, dark green. Worth every oenny

This grass seed is great, and the only brand I’ll buy from now on. It was spread heavily on fresh soil September 2024, lightly racked in, and lightly watered twice a day for 10 days while germinated. It’s been over 6 months and is thick and healthy. The roots are still young and relatively shallow, so it would need lots of watering this summer. I’m a homeowner DYI’er and my two pics show before seeding and after six months of growth and many mows. It may appear to cost more than heavily marketed brands, but it’s all seed - no thick coating or fillers to help fill the bag.

Beautiful grass! It took a while to germinate the first time—probably because I didn’t do much soil prep, just spread the seeds on top, and the weather was cold for a couple of weeks. Once the temperature warmed up, it started growing much faster. On my second try, I tested a smaller patch and did a few things differently: I lightly covered the seeds with a thin layer of soil and watered twice a day. The instructions suggested watering up to four times daily, but I didn’t have time for that—twice a day still worked really well. It sprouted within a week and looked great. Definitely recommend, especially if you can give it consistent care!

This is excellent grass seed. In the past, whenever I bought a $30–40 bag, it seemed like only a small portion was actual seed and the rest was filler—fertilizer, weed control, or other additives. This product is 100% grass seed, which made it feel like a much better value and exactly what I was looking for. As the photos show, the hardest part was the prep work. I weeded the entire backyard and turned over the soil by hand, which took about 12 hours. But that effort paid off. Three weeks later, I’ve got solid coverage. After seeding, I bought a sprinkler and watered for about 20 minutes each morning and evening. The results so far have been excellent. I probably overseeded a little—I used the 15,000 sq. ft. bag on an 800 sq. ft. area—but it definitely contributed to the results.

This may be a good product for other soils and shaded conditions. Unfortunately, it did not grow in our soil in an area between two wooden fences that gets little sun.

I am so happy about the results of this seed mixture! It began germinating in 2 weeks, just as it said. The first pic is before I got results. I am now at week 3, and it continues to grow and spread. Some areas grew before others. Slow, but sure. The water was key. The green color is so rich and vibrant! The quality of the blades is definitely better than my existing grass. I failed to put the accompanying fertilizer down, because I did not see this recommendation until after I received the shipment and read the instructions. I will do that when I seed again in the fall. I did this myself. Because it is still fairly cool, I chanced doing this in mid to late May. I checked the10-day forecast first. I tilled the ground specifically in spots where the grass was gone completely, and just lightly mixed it in with other saturated areas. I used my hand to throw the seeds down versus my seeding barrow in order to better concentrate on the bare spots. I watered it no less than every other day until the rains conveniently came. I tried to time it that way. I was so excited when I saw grass peeping! I have a corner that is very shady in the front due to lots of trees. Had bare spots for along time until I decided to take charge of my embarrassing yard. This is working perfectly! I look forward to seeing it in 6 weeks! Cutting it soon. As you have to wait a bit. It will need another pass to get the density I ultimately want. Definitely buying this again!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product had good reviews and I have had terrible luck with grass seed in my background. There is a lot of shade throughout the day and sun after 4 pm. I have tried for several years to seed with not luck. The past seed said it was shade grass seed but it never got strong enough to last the next year. I have great hopes for this dense grass seed. It’s growing strong and thick and looks great. We will see. I will update.

The name says Dense Shade, but don't believe it. We worked hard for two weeks preparing our yard before planting this seed in our backyard, which gets sun for half the day and is shaded for the other half. We bought a 25 lb bag from Amazon and picked up 2 more 5.6 lb bags at Home Depot to finish up on March 23rd. By October, very few spots of grass had grown. I don't know if the seed was old or what the problem was, but today, our yard looks just as barren as it did before we started reseeding last year. We are very disappointed with this product!

So far no grass but maybe too cold? Will try again in the spring

this grass seed was for areas of my lawn which on both sides have trees which are dark areas. i have just looked at the growth today and there is hardly any grass there. all in all this was purchased to give growth in my dark areas and it did not do that. it was quite expensive as well .

shadey side of house with trees covering would not grow grass until this stuff! great product, came up quickly and has grown nicely!

Very fast germination & coverage however does not survive the UAE summer 😑
