The ECOVACS WINBOT W2 PRO Window Cleaning Robot has truly impressed us. We are always on the lookout for robotic tools to help make caring for our home and yard a little easier as we get older. This one has definitely been a great choice. It was much easier to use than I expected, even from the first time I used it. The cleaning performance was excellent. It cleaned our windows perfectly and far better than I have ever been able to do by hand. It followed its cleaning pattern carefully and thoroughly, leaving the glass sparkling clear. I used it on both the inside and outside windows, and each time I was really amazed at how great everything looked afterward. Once it completed each window, I removed it and simply wiped the small spot where I had pulled it off with a dry cloth. The finish was perfect. It has taken what used to be a tiring chore and made it simple and almost effortless. For anyone looking to make window cleaning easier, I would definitely recommend this the Ecovacs Winbot to all.

I was somewhat skeptical when I bought this, but I have a huge wall of windows in my home, 10 feet high, and cleaning them has always been a struggle. This machine really works - I was pleasantly surprised. You simply fill up the solution, dampen the microfiber pad, attach it to the bot, activate the bot while it's pressed against the glass and off it goes, covering and thoroughly cleaning the entire pane. Selecting the cleaning program using the app is simple. Manually controlling the bot using the app isn't quite so simple but there really shouldn't be much need for that, as the cleaning programs do the job perfectly. I did not have to manually go back over any spots after the bot was done. The bot comes with a small bottle of branded solution. That's what I used and it works perfectly. Instructions state you can use other types of solutions - even home-made ones - but I played it safe and found a refill bottle of the branded solution from another online source (it does come from China and takes a bit of time). This solution cleans really well and leaves absolutely no streaks so I wanted to stick with what I know works. I should add that my windows are large, floor to ceiling "window wall" panels (I live in a high rise), for which this bot is well-suited...large rectangular panes with no protrusions from the framing. If you have smaller and/or more separated windows (i.e. lots of framing), I could see this being a bit more cumbersome to use - lots of stops/starts. Likewise, if you have protrusions from the glass edges/framing that the bot would need to navigate around (i.e. window cranks, locks, etc.) that would leave some spots still dirty requiring you to take care of those manually after the bot is done. But, if you have large panes of glass, especially tall ones that would require you to get on a ladder to clean, this bot is the perfect solution.

It really is an amazing little device and works as advertised. Easy to set up and use and GREAT for high and hard to reach windows. Unfortunately I have not yet found a way to eliminate a “film” that the Winbot leaves on windows. Instructions are adequate but I’d like to know how to get better results. I have done at least 20 windows - some of them twice and still looking for something to improve the results. I will keep trying because I love the concept but I may still need a professional…

A small learning curve to make things easier for you. The microfiber that scrubs the window needs to be damp. If it gets dry, the machine will shut off. When it happened to me, it was on the 2nd floor windows, outside. It went to the top of the window, the red light came on and it stopped. I needed to get the ladder out to reach and retrieve it. If you have very tall windows, and you don't have a ladder to rescue it if it stops, you have a problem. The unit needs to be plugged in to operate. It has batteries, but they only keep the suction fan running. If the power cord gets unplugged, the red light comes on and the unit stops until it's plugged back in and reset. I wasn't able to use the app because my phone can only handle 2 bluetooth concurrent connections, and this would have been the third, but it doesn't have to have the app to operate. It has performed to my expectations,. No streaks, though I heard that if the window is in the sun and hot, it will streak. It uses a solution that you'll have to buy, though a small bottle is included with the machine. It's expensive, but it does clean well.

I was happy with my first WINBOT (W1) for 2 years until it stopped spraying water and I got the WINBOT W2 PRO. When I got it it had water in the water tank already!? Maybe used before. I have 4 sliding doors that I wanted to clean first (no obstacles just plain glas windows). It worked perfectly on the first 3 windows and I was very excited. Then it stopped working on the last window (moved first and then stopped before starting to clean on top of the window saying that it got stuck because of an obstacle). There was no obstacle and I kept trying, same problem. I did a reset on the WINBOT and tried another window, worked first and then fell off!!!!! Imagine if I was cleaning my high up windows! This thing would have hit my head! I used to love ECOVACS WINBOTS and might try another one but this one apparently had a big problem (probably programming problem?)!

First I noticed it cleans with a pad! Had a robotic mop with a pad that wasn’t impressive. But the reviews on this unit were good and we have seven 6’ x 6’ windows that are a pain to clean, I’m 75 years old so I took a chance. I’m blown away at how great this unit cleans! So easy to use and not really a chance the unit will fall. Used it outside up to 25’ off the ground with no issues. It even returned to the start position and told me the pad was very dirty, clean or replace and restart the cleaning. Completely satisfied! Also, about half the price of a cleaning crew for one cleaning!

I bought this because I had seen it on a gadget youtube video. Our front main window had not been cleaned for several years and was extremely dirty. The Winbot 2 pro did an amazing job cleaning it. We did have to run it a couple of times over the window but it was so much fun to watch so no big deal. I wish I had taken a before photo because the window looks amazing now. Definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend it.
