Too Many Flaws to Overlook
While this looks like a great product, for the price point, there are some pretty significant flaws that are hard to overlook and would make me think twice about purchasing this product if I would have known. I’ll list each separately: 1. The phone app setup is challenging at best to use and wrong at worst. 2. The app doesn’t recognize the 9 or the 0 key on your phone keypad, so therefore you cannot create a password using either of those numbers. 3. You cannot configure the critical alerts you get with any granularity. They are on or off, with only a few exceptions. 4. The safe must have constant power from a plugged in source. If not, you will get a push notification/email EVERY FIVE MINUTES until it is connected back to power. The only way to silence this, since you cannot change the frequency of the alerts (see #3), is to turn off alerts altogether. Even if you were in a power outage that means that another critical alert will be buried in the loss of power alerts. The positives: - The fingerprint reader works pretty well. - The spring open door is great. - The two screws to attach it are hefty. - The interior is pretty nice. Would I buy it again, probably not. I really wish there was a non-smart/wifi version of this safe with biometric access. The experience of dealing with a horrible ‘smart’ device is a steep price to pay for biometric access and frankly, just not worth it. I’m pretty sure I could vibe code a better phone app for this thing.

I wanted to love it, but it fell short in a few area
Overall the safe seems very well made. It's heavy, so thats a good thing. The app and wifi seem like a good idea that just wasn't thought through. The safe needs be be connected to ac or it will ot connect to the internet, even if you have batteries. The batteries just allow the lights, control panel and fingerprint sensor to work. Also, the safe does not alert you if it looses power. A major drawback in my opinion. Ac power connects on the side so it is surely to be unplugged by anyone attempting to steal it. There is also no way to find it if it is stolen. You could buy a full sized fireproof safe for the money. I wish I had done that.

Poor, almost none, customer service
Purchased a ViSN MX (wifi capable) unit Poor customer service. Trying to set up my account with the product and could not get a verification code via text to do so. Left several voice mails at the listed phone number but never received a call back to sort out the problem. Received a couple of emails be none of them provided a solution. Finally, frustrated, returned the item and received a full refund.

Disappointed by Poor Design Choices and Greedy Subscription Model
Of all the things to mess up… I never would have guessed the power port placement would be a dealbreaker. Where would you logically expect it? The back? Maybe the rear side? Even a hole through the safe like full-sized models? Nope. It’s placed on the right side, toward the front—the absolute worst spot. There’s no clean way to hide the cable, and if you have pets that chew cords like I do, this is incredibly frustrating. It feels like they went out of their way to reinvent the wheel—only worse. All they had to do was follow the universal design rule for powered devices: put the power in the back. Even a simple internal channel could’ve routed the cord forward if necessary. Instead, it’s a trip hazard and a chew toy for pets. To make things worse, the back of the safe has two 1/4" holes with no plugs, presumably for the tiny fraction of people who might bolt it down through the back. Meanwhile, the bottom has bolt holes too—at least those come with a cover. But seriously, why design obvious weak points into the body of a security safe? Now let’s talk about the subscription model. Charging $5/month just to manage multiple safes from one account? That’s a blatant cash grab. Why penalize your most loyal customers—the ones who’d actually buy more than one safe? These safes are already overpriced, and the subscription just adds insult to injury. Vaultek, you had a solid product here, but between baffling design decisions and greedy upsells, I honestly regret the purchase.

I guess engeneers were off that day when power adapter receptacle made
It doesn’t fit Colt Python 4” revolver. Only you can put on the shelf. When you plan to install that place have an extra space for power adapter which they decided to stick on a side close to the front... Often when safe close it starts sounding alarm..
