QA1 5227 Strut Tower Brace

I installed this on my 1992 Camaro Convertible. This along with a wonder bar really stiffened up the steering. I believe it will also help prevent stress cracks at the steering box mount that these cars experience.The build and the material on the QA1 Brace are very good. Problem is their Engineering lacks a lot, hence the 3 Stars. This unit must be removed to do major work (ie, remove distributor, heads etc.) I still have not been able to put a nut on the passenger side bolt where Brace bolts to cowl pinch rail. Called QA1 and no one seems to know how to do. Had to tape the nut to a closed end wrench and fish it in to get it on the drivers side bolt.Suggest you weld nuts to plate on Brace. This is what I will do first time removed. If they knew their stuff they would have done this like they did on 93 model year brace.

Little hard to Install on my 88 camaro but works like a charm. Handles like it's on rails now.
