Brilliant food

I got these to supplement food for my yoyo loaches and shrimp. They arrive in a resealable plastic bag. Each disc is smaller and thinner than a 1p coin. They sink easily and don't cause mess or clouding. Fish have eaten them happily and look healthy to. No negative behaviour to indicate a lack of nutrition. Good quality and value. Recommended. Unlike previous wafers I'd bought from another company, these wafers are easy to snap or crush, and they break up quickly once in water. Tadpoles absolutely love these wafers (we have frogs in the garden pond.)

Good value for money

Somewhere along the lines I went from having two bristlenose plecs in my aquarium to an explosion of dozens of them and suddenly I’m a breeder of them. At any one time there are at least thirty of them in my tank and I sell them/trade them at my local fish shop. These things are up to to 15cm long, and that a lot of big mouths to feed. As you can imagine, I get through a lot of algae wafers. I’ve always bought King British wafers from Amazon, and have always been happy with the results. I actually have them set up on a Subscribe and Save, such is how often I buy them. While searching for some other stuff for the tank I came across these Herons wafers which were quite a lot cheaper than the King British product and decided to give them a go. Compared directly with the King British product they’re quite a lot smaller. Not necessarily in circumference, but very much so in depth. For a single pleco they’re perfectly fine, but for multiple fish there’s not enough. They vanish very quickly. I typically drop four wafers in every evening of the King British, but I’ve been putting eight in of the Heron’s product. So, while it is better value, I’m getting through them at a rapid rate.

🧑 I have been a fish keeper and Aquarium Hobbyist from the age of 4, and now in my 50s! 🟢 These algae wafers are among the best Algae Wafers I have ever fed my fish. 🟢 I do not say this lightly as I have tried many different varieties over the years. - 🧑 I run the Facebook Group "Yorkshire Bristlenose" and have bred Plecostomus for over 15 years, just check out the attached video and you will see how enthusiastic the Super Red and Brown Bristlenose I bred go mad for these wafers! - 🧑 I only feed my fish now these Algae Wafers or King British, and as you can see from the attached video the wafers sink well and my fish love them. - 🟢 There is no waste from these unless you overfeed the fish, and that is hard to do with plecs because when the fish are healthy they eat well. - 👇 The only downside to buying these is you might need to monitor your cleaning and filter regime, as we all know the more your fish eat the more they release from the other end! - If you are on the sideline to buy these wafers, I would say I think I have been ordering them for a few years, and the seller has never let me down yet! - 📦 Packaging: 📦 Packaging is always well-labelled! 📦 Royal Mail used! 📦 Sent in a resealable plastic bag. 📦 The wafers come within a few days of ordering and the packages have been double-wrapped. - 💡 Final Thoughts: 💡 As you can see from the video I run a pretty reliable set-up. 💡 My set runs with 2 filters as I now have around 350 Plec in the tank and around 600 Red Cherry Shrimp. 💡 Both the plecos and the Red Cherry Shrimp love these Algae Wafers! - - 📽️ Uploaded video twice, it plays fine on mine in normal view, but sometimes when you upload to Amazon it rotates incorrectly (if it rotates, my apologies, have included photos as well). 📷 I have attached 3 Photos also of the Fish at feeding time so you can see a variety of sizes eat the wafers.
