Brother FS70WTX Sewing and Quilting Machine, White

This is my first ever sewing machine and the only one I’ve ever used - and it’s been great! I’d done some very basic hand sewing here and there, but I recently decided to take up sewing as a hobby and invest in a sewing machine. I was initially overwhelmed by all the different options, but I went with Brother because they seem to have very nice budget computerised machines. There are definitely cheaper options out there, but this model offers some bells and whistles, such as automatic needle threading, speed control, a top-loading bobbin, a needle position button and a wide variety of stitches - none of these are essential but they’ve made the experience much more enjoyable. This machine also comes with quite a few accessories, which is a great. I found it very intuitive even for complete beginners. It’s also relatively light but feels robust enough thanks to the metal chassis. It’s worth noting that this is not a heavy duty machine - I’m not sure if it would be able to cope with a lot of layers or thicker fabrics, but it’s great for fat quarter projects and basic mending. Overall I’m very satisfied with it and I’d definitely recommend this machine to beginners such as myself.

So far so good, ease to set up, range of stitches however need to read instructions before comments on all its functions. Range of speeds, choice of foots. I have used for quiting, sewing and some free motion. I trust the make, so far not disappointed. Good value for money and fairly light weight. Comes with protection cover and extremely table.

It’s been a long time since I’ve used a sewing machine and wanted a good quality easy to use machine. I decided to buy this model as I know brother have a good reputation and this was a great price. I have used it for simple construction to begin with and like the stop start button instead of the pedal, although I keep using my foot !! There is an automatic needle threading setting which I haven’t mastered yet, doing it by hand. I have sewn some slippy waterproof fabric into aprons which was decidedly easy to sew. This machine has given me my love of sewing back ❤️

Honestly I have been wanting a sewing machine for so long, and as soon as I received this I was not disappointing. The amount of stitch options are actually incredible. I don’t even know what I’ll use them all for but they’re so fun to do. I’ve tried all of them, and each option shows which presser foot to use. Changing the dimensions of your stitches is so easy and I’m just having a stupid amount of fun with it. I’ve never used a sewing machine in my life and it’s so so beginner friendly. I figured it out in a couple hours. It’s easy enough to carry, has a very handy handle and comes with a decent amount of accessories for its price point. SUPPPEERR happy :)

I only gave it 4stars because the needle threader does not work all the time

Fabulous sewing machine, easy to use & such an amazing selection of stitches. I learnt to sew on mine & now can sew more complicated iems.

Just had a play with my new Sewing Machine. I purchased the Brother FS70WTX from the UK & had to wait a day because it does not come with an Australian standard Plug. I purchased a 3 Pin adapter for UK to AUS on Amazon, then it was all systems go ! I'm only a novice sewer ( can't call myself a seamstress lol) but I guarantee I will learn a lot from this machine. I tried a few different stitches & loving it. Although the electrical plug was not Australian, I will still give it 5 stars for ease of use & the instructions manual provided. The machine is light weight, has easy Bobbin threading, easy needle threader, technology can be a blessing at times. Look forward to sewing crafty things for my Junk Journals & even some sewing repairs to clothes when needed.

Buena calidad, y buena iluminación

I am having difficulty with my new brother sewing and embroidery machine. The feet don't work properly and it pulls to the right. I am trying to find out how I can use my warranty in Queesland, Australia.
