A light show worthy of Jean-Michel Jarre, with a framerate to match!
I wasn't actually after this particular GPU, but it came available at a good price so I grabbed it. Didn't take much notice of anything about it other than the basics. On first powering it up... I shouted so loudly in surprise that my wife came upstairs to see what was happening. That was caused by the fact that the GPU had a screen on the side (I didn't know) and was playing a video for me as I watched the PC boot for the first time. Talk about flashy!Hardware installation went mostly easily, the only issue being that my case (Corsair 4000D Airflow) didn't quite have room for the GPU support bracket. It conflicted with the front fans. I made an alternative bracket myself so I could keep my fans.Despite reading about driver issues and missing ROPs, I've had no problems whatsoever with the GPU. It's what it should be and works perfectly in Windows with nVidia's latest (as of March 12th) driver.Everything on the GPU seems to light up and animate. It's a wonderful light show, if you are into that sort of thing. In my case (pun intended) it's irrelevant because that's not my thing. I'll turn them all off and the PC sits under a desk where I expect it to be silent and invisible. My framerate's gone through the roof - love it love it love it!
