does paint wash off of the creatures if they get wet?

No, my boys have had this set for a year and a half. They don't use in the tub but they have been left outside and chewed on my baby sister.

Can these go in the bath tub?

We haven't put them in but I don't see why not. They are made of a thick plastic so probably won't float but if your child(ren) wanted to move them around in the tub they'd probably have fun! There are no holes in the toys so you wouldn't need to worry about water getting trapped and mold growing. I would NOT put the creature power discs in the water though- they are plastic with a sticker on the top.

I'm a grandmother living in one country with a grandson living in another. I know he loves Wild Kratts. What is the purpose of the disks? Thanks!

They are "creature power" discs and on the show the kratt brothers use them to gain the abilities of the animal that is pictured on the disc. They also wear creature power vests that have a slot to put the discs in when they want to transform into (or gain) the power of the pictured animal. So to kids who are wild kratts fans the discs are very important!
