Makes for a beautiful look
Let me start by saying, we absolutely love the way this product looks- it seems to be very durable and gives that nice "wet" look- like others, when we have had friends over, they asked if the tile was safe to walk on! We were a little concerned with how slippery the finish would be underfoot, but it is absolutely not a concern. Easy to clean, and made the grout look like the company said it should from the start (It lightened up several shades after it initially dried). Makes cleaning the grout a snap as well- much, much better than a standalone grout sealer when I've used in the past. There is a learning curve for application- you'll need to plan out your time carefully, especially if it's getting applied in an area like a kitchen and main room like we did, as it takes 12 hours+ to cure. That time is absolutely impacted by temperature, so if you have your furnace set to go down lower than that in the winter overnight, you could wake up to the floors still being tacky in the morning like we did. Fortunately it wasn't a bit deal and walking on it didn't leave permanent marks.Make sure you have really good lighting when you apply it- which can be a challenge at night if you're trying to do it before bed- our initial pass had a few spots that we missed- and be meticulous about things like dog hair- we vaccumed and mopped, but still have a few floaters that wound up here and there- we're the only ones that notice, but still. If you do have spots you missed, be sure to sand the whole tile when you are re-applying- turns out far better. We tried the 400 grit at first that the seller recommended when I called him, but it didn't make much of a dent. Did some reading on their website and saw that 150 grit would work as well, and found that to be a much faster and better solution- makes it look hazy obviously, but when you apply the new coat it shines right back up.We'd absolutely do it again- really, really good product. Hopefully it holds up for years to come.

Worked great to save our faience fireplace tiles
We had faience tiles on our fireplace. Faience is similar to ceramic tile and is usually brightly glazed.Prior owners had painted over the tiles. We wanted to restore it. After removing the paint, it was clear that the original tile had lost its glaze. Our tile had no shine and looked sad. I googled a ton of solutions and landed on this one CoverTec. Our fireplace looks great now, with a perfect amount of shine. This looks like new tiles. I was worried it would be too shiny, but with one coat, it was just perfect. We had a great experience with the ordering and the application. We did order a sample first to check it out. The availability of the sample size is a great thing. Well done to the people behind this product!

Quite looking for a product- this stuff is amazing!
This is a great product. Can't really say enough. We laid a hardwood-look style tile. The tile was glazed porcelain. We used a product from a big-box retailer which immediately started peeling. After having the sealant professionally removed ($400 charge- not happy), I found the Glazeguard product online. After doing our due diligence and researching the product, we decided to try the quart size in a small room attached to a larger 500sq foot room. The quart was exactly what we were looking for in a sealant. We waited a couple days and purchased the gallon size product and covered our larger room. The product provides a very shinny wet look, which is what we were looking for in a sealant on our wood-look tiles. Immediately after use, my wife & I thought we may have preferred the satin vs the gloss product. This feeling faded as people started commenting on the flooring. It also helped after we moved furniture and rugs back into the area. It's not so overwhelming looking at a very large room after furniture is back in place. The product is very easy to apply. Just follow the directions.

Expensive disappointment
After following instructions carefully while applying this finish, the outcome was, "ok", but certainly not a smooth finish as expected. Within 9 months my floor looks horrible. The finish is pealing, looks splotchy and has a yellowish haze where the finish hasn't already peeled up.UPDATE: still attempting to get this finish off my floor. After talking to flooring specialist, they agree that this product has ruined my tile floors and chances are I will need to remove and replace 1700 sq ft of tile flooring. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Great Tile Sealer
Purchased to seal and give a high gloss to pool tile. It was easy to apply, and the finish is a high gloss. Just what we wanted. It has only been a month and it is still looking great. We are hoping the calcium will not stick. To date the small amount of calcium has just wiped off. This looks like it will do the job.

Don't Over Appl.icate
We bought this to do the tile in our whole house. Room-by-Room. Problem was that once finished w/one room, we taped off (over) the previously done room & the tape peeled off the sealant like it was nothing. Then we purchased $30 "special tape" so it wouldn't happen again. Next issue is that it completely soaked IN to the grout in some areas so those areas weren't shiny :( Problem there is that to go back & put more on that area it can't touch previously done spots bc it eats it away like nothing & gets super spotty. Scratches very easily also :( Sooo, many area's in our home where it's scratched (crying face). Where it's scratched we now have to sand it w/sand paper in the EXACT area, tape it, then mix up a batch (not easy measuring such a small batch) then apply to THAT small area. We spent a lot of $ on this stuff. Once dried it looks completely amazing, but darn it any scratch just scuffs it right up. Also, don't use anything except water w/a mild soap bc ANY chemical eats it right up. Learned that the hard way too. Almost wish we would've just left the tile as is....On a 2000sqft residential home this was pricey, and a lot of upkeep in the long run. (Been 1yr since applied)
