What is the difference between the automatic and manual VM600?

Essentially the VA600 stands for "automatic" scaling of the resultant readings and the VM600 model stands for "manual" scaling of the reading. There are some differences in the functions that can be measured also. For instance, the manual version has a function with a clear sensor to read IR remote controls to verify that it is working. There is also a socket and function on it to test transistors. I actually purchased both, (they are relatively inexpensive), to get all the functions spread across two devices.
