Rome B18 Column Sundial Pedestal Base, Cast Iron with Painted Finish, 20-Inch Height by 9-Inch Width

I ordered the sundial and thought I didn't need the base. I was wrong. It didn't look right. Very sturdy.

It depends on what you are looking for as to how you will like this stand. It is very sturdy, heavy, with good paint job, but it is not the perfect casting, The column flutes are not uniform, and there are grind marks in the base, I would say the clean up of the castings is mediocre at best. But you need to compare this to the price. I looked around and is was the best price I could find. plus is fits the sun dial very nicely and bolts on so it would get blown off. Make sure you think about the height, it is not that tall. I kept this and rated it ok because it looks old, beat up, and I like that look. I like that it look like it was made years ago and it fits my garden space well. Yes I wish the casting clean up was better, but for me in my garden you won't see the base that much. So it works. It was shipped fast and packaging was good.

Item is exactly as pictured and as described. The size is for a smaller garden spot, as it is not real large. It is made well and painted well.

Bought this Rome pedestal and a Rome sundial but the sundial does not attach to the pedestal!!!! I thought the Rome sundial was suppose to attach but instead just rests on top of pedestal!!!

This pedestal base works very well with the sundial I ordered. It is an attractive weathered greenish color. The pedestal is solid and heavy enough to that it won't tip over easily. Put together with the sundial, I have a very nice garden accent.

Works well for my sundial, it’s sitting in the back garden…nice patina, appearance and quite sturdy; it is a little short for my liking though so we put it on some bricks to elevate it a bit
