This unit does an excellent job filtering water to deliver a spot-free rinse, and it’s significantly more affordable than other models without sacrificing build quality. I especially appreciate the built-in bypass feature—it lets you switch off the filtration system when using regular water or soap, which helps extend the life of the filter. It’s a thoughtful and practical design touch.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. AS GOOD AS IT MAY SEEM, I RECEIVED MINE WITH THE TDS INPUT BROKEN. IT TOOK 6 WEEKS FOR THEM TO SHIP A NEW ONE. THEN I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE FILERS SEPARATING AND RESIN COMING OUT. I CONTACTED VEVOR, SHOWED THEM THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID,” ADD SOME HOT GLUE TO FIX THE PROBLEM”. I ARGUED THAT I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO “FIX” IT. THEY SAID THEY WOUD SEND ME A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM. WELL, AFTER A COUPLE WEEKS, I FOUND OUT IT GOT DAMAGED IN SHIPPING IN CALIFORNIA. AND NOW VEVOR IS SAYING, THEY WILL NOT RESHIP THE PRODUCT THAT WAS PROMISED TO ME. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!. GO AHEAD AND SPEND A FEW MORRE DOLLARS FOR THE CR SPOTLESS OR OTHER BRANDS. BECAUSE VEVOR HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.

Make sure the filters are centered in filter housing. It took several tries to get it to work properly. When it’s time to replace resin I will replace filters with CR Spotless.

For quality and what comes in this DI kit can't be beat. To top all this off the DI resin is included. If you're simply looking for a way to wash your windows and your car with spotless results, this is an excellent way to get started.

Spot free washes.

My water is ~120PPM prior to filtering. I installed this filter, it produced 5-6ppm water for around 5 minutes before it jumped to 40PPM and stayed there. Would not recommend.

My unit reduces my TDS from 257ppm to about 20. Not good enough for a spot-free rinse. When I first received it, I assembled it and tested it. My TDS from the spigot was reading 227 ppm (using a calibrated meter - distilled water read 0ppm), and the unit reduced it to not lower than 12 ppm after letting it run for a minute to ‘settle in’. I used a flow meter to set the input flow to 2.0 gpm as stated on page 1 of the user manual. I tried setting this lower, even lower than 1 gpm, with no difference in results. After a few cold days, yesterday was warm enough to try again. I unscrewed the filters to see what I could find. Everything looked ok, however the filters are slightly off-center (they were manufactured this way, I could see the circular imprint on the white o-ring (from where it seals to the top cap) was off center — seems like a design flaw — there’s no way to adjust), and perhaps this is causing some blow-by? It’s hard to say. Both filters were like this. I tested and this time my raw water read 257ppm, and the DI reduced it to about 20. I switched the left and right filter — same results. I washed the car and rinsed it using the filter since I already had it out, and the built-in meter was even reading over 20 ppm halfway through (this thing auto-shuts-off way too fast) In total I didn’t use more than 15 gallons. I don’t know if it is because the filters are not centered and therefore not sealed properly, or the resin quality is poor, or both, but i can’t recommend this unit since it doesn’t do what I purchased it to do. 2 stars because the construction is pretty good. I contacted service with some pics including my flow meter reading 2.0 gpm (I shot video of my tests but the website doesn’t allow a video upload), and they told me the unit doesn’t work at high flow rates? (Edit: They claim it doesn’t work above 275ppm). I am using it exactly as recommended. It simply doesn’t work. I’ll buy the CR spotless filters and see how they work. **Edit: the CR spotless filter inserts fit this unit and work properly to reduce TDS.

The filter is leaking from the TDS meter connection. The connection looks sheered off. Possibly from the top metal bracket.
