Works as advertised. The silver testing liquid is a little subjective because it’s not just an acid that tests .999 fine silver, you have to examine the color the liquid changes to once applied and then gauge the purity of sillier from there. I still give it 5 stars because they made this clear in the instructions so it’s my fault for not reading better prior to purchasing.

I’m enjoying using this testing kit, however, I feel the testing stone is much too small. And the lid just broke on the silver testing solution and I’m left wondering how to safely store it. Overall, a good product.

well, these things do go "bad" pretty fast, so this one I got as a replacement for my old test solutions that I never finished to the end, but they did go kind of bad, especially the one for silver. When that one turns brown from dark reddish, you may want to move on to the new one. The kit works great.

the first time i received this the fluid was spilled all over the product. i had to physically send back the damaged item and finally just tried using it to test some silver and this did not work at all. waste of time and money, do not recommend.

I don’t know if it’s the user ( that’s me ) or if it’s the product, but I didn’t get the results that I was expecting. I tried the test kit on what I thought was pure silver and got mixed results. Then I tried the test kit a .999 Fine Silver US Mint coin and got less than pure results. I’m not an expert at this stuff, but I followed the instructions to the letter and made sure that nothing was contaminated, so I don’t know where the problem was. BTW, I used this product as soon as it was received.

Great kit for testing silver and gold. Accurate readings and easy to use. Great value!
