desertcart.com: The Life of Chuck: 9781668208786: King, Stephen: Books Review: Stephen King Never Lets Me Down - Stephen King never lets me dow, such a great book. Was a little thrown of by the size of the book since its so small, but its a great story. Stephen King at his best. Review: I Need More - I have been an avid reader of Stephen King since Carrie, 1974. The Life of Chuck, I believe, is one of his more enjoyable short stories. My 4* is because King's short stories are never enough for me. The story is clever from the 1st park bench signs and billboards to the final closing of the cupola door. A quick read that was lacking only for the length.

Very sad and interesting read
I wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't seen the movie, although now I definitely want to. I found myself teary several times and ended the book with quite a profound sense of sadness. Just what a good book does!

interesting Novella by the King
Since this is a novella, it’s really hard to write a review without giving away spoilers. With that being said, it was an interesting quick read. MINOR SPOILER: I loved one of the last lines and the point of the story: “I will live my life until my life runs out. I am wonderful, I deserve to be wonderful, and I contain multitudes.”

Buy the hard and soft cover versions are more fun than the e-book.
I realllllllllly liked this book. (The movie adapt isn't too bad either, I mean, Tom Hiddleston dancing and a Stephen King twisted ending? Right??) I really can't get into the plot without giving it away. I guess the best thing to say would be Chuck dances AND if you like a starlit sky, you'll read about that, too. What a great, eerie twist. Well played again, Stephen King. It's an easy, quick read (I've read it twice and I rarely do that). OH! And it's not just a run of the mill short, nope. It's a flip book, too! (Why, yes, I am easily entertained. Thank you for noticing.) The flip book is Chuck dancing in the lower right corner. Forwards and Backwards, over and over. I forgot how simple and fun flip books were. And, as I said, I'm easily entertained. Also, another reason to snag a hardcover once and a while.?

Llego en buen estado. Es un excelente libro. Sólo que Amazon debería esmerarse en empacar mejor los libros. Me llego sin bolsa o plástico protector. Es un milagro que no haya llegado roto o doblado.

I saw the film (which is fantastic), and wanted to see how it compared to the book. Full disclosure: I have never read a Stephen King book. I'm glad I did pick this up, as it's a great read. It's short (so pick it up on sale, if you can), but sweet. Something to read between longer books. Reading a book after the film is always a gamble, as you know the general story - there can be a lack of curiosity because you know the plot. I'm glad to say that's not the case here. The quick-fire style of writing, the characters, and the poignancy of the story all keep things ticking along. Very enjoyable. Now, go watch the movie (again, if applicable)!
