O m Goodness. This works so well, and the bars are so very sturdy. No bending like tin. It’s been suffering abuse at my 3 year old’s hands, and is fabulous. I bought it AMazon Warehouse with “significant cosmetic damage but still functional”, so (naturally) it came without springs (aka not functional) and I didn’t feel like returning it. Home Depot has a package of springs of varying sizes, and I used just one, with several more still in the packaging... I plan on Amazon Warehousing more of these too, and assuming I will need springs for all of them, I think I will probably save money after 3. So that means, don’t try to save money AMazon Warehousing it. Just regular price Prime it.

I bought this curtain rod to create a closet space in my studio apartment. After reading the reviews, I was super hesitant because so many people said it sagged in the middle. I’m not sure what they used it for or how extended they had it (mine is at 60”), but it works fine for my uses. It would not hold up, let’s say, to hang clothes off of. You’re buying a thin, metal curtain rod; be realistic about its purpose. The price is great and the quality is good enough. The instructions that came with the rod were hard to make sense of but after a bit of playing with it, I figured it out. When you open the packaging, do not use the tiny square metal washer! This is essential to making it work.

These are aluminum spring tension rods, and are easy enough to fit into the space you need! The instructions aren't great, but in essence, you pinch the spring between the end of the slotted rod and a screw/washer combo that you tighten with your own screwdriver. Very handy size. Dropping one star because the tension rods are warped very easily-- tightening the screw alone can cause you to warp the outer rod, leading to issues if you need to shorten the rod any further. (So be careful with your screw tension here!) The screw/washer combo is a bit finicky, and can fall into the body of the outer rod if too loose. Only other thought-- I strung curtains on these (no plastic rings, just a fold in the cloth, and the "edge" of the outer tension rod catches the curtain.

I used two of these tension rods to make a mesh "gate"/barrier for my dog (across a wide doorway into my kitchen). These are very lightweight, but sturdy, rods and they are very strong when tightened. I have also used one of these rods to hold a decorative curtain up in front of my shower curtain in the bathroom, and it works great and has held very securely. I highly recommend this product. Initially, I was going to return this rod. A number of the reviews kept saying how easy it was to install and I could just not figure it out. Even read some reviews where the screw was missing and I figured that was my issue because I did not have a screw either. I took another look in the bag and the little thing had fallen out during shipment. I watched the how to on YouTube on installing it which helped me figure out how to place the screw/washer and spring. After I had all of the pieces there in the right order, installation was easy. I cannot attest to the weight that it’ll hold since I only purchased lightweight curtains. I marked it as a three for ease of installation because of the frustration with the screw missing from the original body of it and having to find tools in my work space to fit the screw and washer together. The label on the bag with instructions is absolutely worthless.

I converted an odd-shaped walk-in closet into a soundproof music studio. I did have a challenge - the closet door is a pocket-door, and I obviously could not place any sound tiles on the pocket-door! I found a heavy sound-insulating curtain that would cover the door, yet I needed a tension rod to install it. This tension rod was a great option because of its length, and it is indeed sturdy - it has not fallen down in the last few months since I installed it. Problem solved!

You get what you pay for, but even in this situation I could've have bought a cheaper rod at walmart that i know will work better. The product is very lightweight and relatively easy to install, HOWEVER, in order to lock it into place you have to tighten a screw which easily bends the metal. Which means that you may be unable to adjust the rod again due to it being unable to slide past the now compressed metal. You could just tighten the screw a little less but I found that doing so did not put enough stop to the sliding of the rod and it could be slid around easily. In fact the rubber on the ends of the rod are so hard that even with much tension they still slip around. I put a TON of tension on my rod trying to stop the sliding and even so, I was able to glide it between my two walls with ease.

I thought there were two in the pack. My mistake for not reading more closely. These are cheap and not that sturdy. The price is just insulting for what you get. Many other (better) tension rods out there that are much less expensive.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect length for a small area to hang the curtain. However, it was tricky to make it stable at first. (I think it will be so much easier if someone else is helping you!) But I made it! If you are looking to hang a heavy curtain, I guess this isn't right for you.

Bought this to hang a curtain in a doorway as a privacy divider that can be put up and taken down when we have overnight guests. Works perfectly, easy to install, small for storing, simple and looks nice, not bulky.

This is a great quality curtain rod ... I have bought similar rods at retail stores and they were less expensive but you get what you pay for. This rod is far superior to what I purchased in stores ... very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy more.
