CURT 13627 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2" Receiver, Fits Select Mazda CX-70, CX-90

The hitch is a great product and installs cleanly on the CX‑90. It took under two hours with no drilling required. Everything lines up perfectly with the factory‑welded nuts, and standard tools were all was needed. The printed instructions are usable, but the e‑trailer installation video is far better and makes the process much easier. A lift would make the job simpler, and while you can install it solo, having a second person helps you slide the hitch into place without disturbing the driver‑side wiring. My only complaint was the packaging — one of the metal sections was sticking out of the box when it arrived. Overall, excellent hitch with a smooth install and solid fitment.

Perfect fit and fairly easy to install.

Excellent product, perfectly packaged, with all the original holes located in the Mazda CX 90 chassis. Initially, I followed a tutorial to install it at home, but it required disassembling a significant part of the truck's bumper. In the end, I managed to do it without disassembling practically anything except for a cover on the underside, and it fit perfectly. I was able to do it alone without anyone's help, but it's more advisable to do it with someone else, because it's a bit heavy. It fit perfectly and doesn't protrude from the vehicle; it looks very discreet. In my case, I installed a protective barrier for vehicles that park very close, but it would certainly work perfectly in this situation.

Easy to install, bolted on

I’ve installed countless hitches in other vehicles. This hitch was one of the easiest I have ever installed! The instructions are super clear! This is the best hitch to use for your CX90 because it is a direct bolt-on where others require you to cut the frame and snake bolts through. No thanks! I’m not cutting anything. This mounts the same exact way as Mazda’s OEM hitch. Unless you can get the Mazda hitch cheaper, you can’t beat this hitch based on price and ease of installation. I wish all other hitches were this easy to install!! Don’t bother reading the horrible review from the other person that can’t read simple instructions. The instructions provided were just spot on and simple to understand. If you can’t read and understand the instructions, you probably should NOT BE INSTALLING A HITCH yourself and endangering others with whatever it is you are using it for!

Packaging was questionable, but the hitch wasn’t damaged. I did this myself, not recommended, but doable. The driver’s side bracket assembly was unbolted, but didn’t give much space when I tried to snake the arm through. If you’re by yourself, try to find a dowel or something strong to temporarily insert into the hole once you get the arms lined up, that way you can start the bolts on the other side while it’s being held up. In the pic, I used a magnet bolt finder (red handle). I laid on my back with my head towards the front of the car, then held the 900lb hitch with my bad knees while I aligned the holes. The dumb tabs that help hold the bumper fascia are fragile and weird. If they happen to survive, you put the tab in first with fascia and spin it back in. Might help to have the screw on the other side.
