Just received these but I don't find a bobber stop included. Is there something special about these that doesn't require a stop?

Hi Paul. They dont come with bobber stops, they are mainly used as casting bobbers / Bubbles. How I use them is Slide the bobber up my main line and tie a snap swivel to end, Depending on what I am casting with / for it will depend how long and size of my leader. I use these a lot with Fly's and 4lb test and about a 5+ foot leader. Then I Can go to a 3 foot leader and use a kastmaster or a rooster tail, or even a Crappie lure for them fish that are beyond my casting distance. Remember to slide the bubble,, skinny side of the shaft on first. other wise the water may drain out as it hits the swivel,, it can pop loose.hope it helps.

can these be used as a slip bobber or stationery bobber by twisting rubber that are on the end's and securing it to the line where you desire? thx

it can be used as slip bobber - I use 30 inch leader below a snap swivel which stops the float as you reel in and the wooly bugger depth is controlled by the drop (3 inches per second) and how fast you retrieve. I have caught just about every fish known to man with the FLY BUBBLE SETUP to include sea trout, salmon, steelhead, dorado, bass, catfish, bluegill, crappie, etc, etc. line goes through fly bubble and you tie snap swivel - then hook leader and fly or bait. We used to use on trout and power bait using same setup with egg/cheese rig and if you want to you can use toothpicks to wedge the bubble in place at any length - used b4 for trout and worms under snap swivel with worm hook. If yo want to get deep then add tiny shot into the bubble while the center pin is extended the farthest to allow adding the split shot or bearings inside the bubble. Tight Lines and enjoy the fly bubble setup!!!! or slip bobber or toothpick stopped bobber.

how much for 21/2 bobbers?

Hi I bought these bobbers several time in the past snd they were great..quality was excellent. I last time I bought them they were really bad. They filled up with water from the outside. The seams in the middle we’re not done and it looked like the glue had leaked down the sides and the holes that you put the line through were all rough and scarred the line. The first order or two were great but it seems like quality went down the tubes. I pay more at Cabelas for them but they are worth it.

Can you leave the water in or do you have to drain it after every day out fishing

Yes, it is fine to leave the water in these for the duration of your fishing event. If you are travelling, it would be best to drain and pack them. Water left for very long times will cause mold to form in them and if not packed/protected when travelling, they can crack. Hope this helps.

GREAT WEIGHT

FILLING UP THE BULBS WITH 1/2 BULB WITH WATER , MADE THE BULB WEIGHT OUT AT 2 1/2 OZ . NO BAD , REALLY GOT THE BAIT OUT THERE ON THE CAST. something i forgot to mention , out of the dozen in the pack used 2 of them , the centerm of the bulb, started to leak or crack , i guess when casting them out to the watter or under pressure when the bulb hi the water, solution, 2 things i did to correct it, 1, i poured a little super glue( HARBOR FREIGHT BRAND) on the center rim used my wet finger to smooth over the center rim and the wrapped electric tape around the center rim to hold the bulb together,! these bulb act like they came from TEMU (china company) they are thin in constructions same as the cheap chinese brand. i wondering if amazon is purchasing TEMU products for re sell? wait for the update? amazon purchase them , the bulb when magnified shows CHINA MADE? BETTER TO PURCHASE FROM TEMU INSTEAD OF AMAZON, SORRY AMAZON CAUGHT YOU?

these are great lor light jig controlled depth fishing

these work well but come apart easily with casting and rod and reel transporting. this is my second order this before using I put silicone sealer on a gloved finger and spun the bobber seam in the adhesive

Fantastic

These work great! I was using them on a light spinning rig so I could cast a #6 Clouser Minnow while bass fishing. Didn't feel like pulling the fly rod out. 1/2 filled with water allowed me to cast a considerable distance. Works great with a swivel and about a 6' leader. They were a little to large to use trout fishing (for me). I found the 1 1/4" (made by the same company) worked better as far as not spooking fish. Just remember their main purpose is to add casting weight to light flys, trout worms and such and not so much as a colored bobber you would use as a strike indicator. I think a lot of the negative ratings is a result of not knowing how to use these clear floats.
