Great camera for the price but with caveats
Get it for $109 and the price is right. You have to understand that while reolink makes a solid product they are different than your other security camera offerings. Imo reolink offers a reliable and quality product that is aimed to simplify the user experience. You're not going to find a ton of settings to tweak you're going to get the basics and the camera is going to do what it's advertised to do. It will run 4k and good bitrate with low latency and if optimized correctly , no dropped frames. If you only need a clear image with low light this is a great bang for buck offering. My other cameras that do this (and have multiple high resolutions across multiple sub streams and more options cost twice as much as least. But again for the price and the use case this is a great camera just know the limitations). For example shutter, exposure , gain etc you won't get that fine granular control you might expect from cameras like dahua/empiretech, amcrest, hikvision etc. If you're running an nvr such as frigate like I am you're going to be limited compared to other offerings. That's not to say this camera isn't good, it's good for what it is aimed to provide, a low light color image at an affordable price. So for me this particular camera was purchased for a section of the home to monitor an 84 year old with a hip and c1 fracture in the neck. I purchased this camera because I needed best bang for the buck for day and night clarity without creepy infrared glow during the night and this camera delivers a crystal clear pic during the day albeit some hard to tune white light balance (lack of control) and a reasonably clear nightine image with only a tiny nightlight on in the room (pretty phenomenal) and since reolink only offers 640x360 I had to manage my expectations in regard to face recognition for my automations and thus I have utilized the main stream for live view and detect (1600x900) In the frigate config and the sub stream for recording (I don't need hi res recordings from this particular camera) so for my use case this worked out. I did tinker a bit with the cameras onboard ai/detect features and compared to frigate they are laughable. Home assistant is also a great pairing with this camera due to great Intergration support which at the least when combined with frigate will give you control over fully off led lamp Motion automations to fire like they should unlike the app which does provide this but with the exception of the led always being on. Not good if you don't like bugs. So, if you need a great color low light camera without infrared, with minimal control but easy to setup and without multiple or higher res sub streams then 100% this is a great but for the price but if you need more control and features there are much better options out there empiretech t54ir is a fantastic camera and their full color model is excellent but be prepared to pay twice as much as this easy to setup low light 4k camera. The cx820 is a solid buy as long as you know what you are getting and what you won't get.

Amazing Night Color
Awesome camera! I replaced an older 820 and wanted the colorX and needed it in a dome. Got this when it came out and boom took one down and put it up and was amazed at night when I was able to see full color at night with no spot lights needed. I do have a street light by it so it helps and why I don't need the spotlight on. Line crossing feature is a great addition besides the motion detection.

This thing is kind of magical.
First the negatives on this: -It's not a pan/tilt/zoom. -It is a bit of a pain to reset if you have to (since getting to the reset button means getting around to the back of it) But that's about all I can say negative on this camera. It's absolutely amazing in image quality and visibility in day or night. I've attached an image of a frame taken on an overcast day at about 3 in the morning. Pitch black, and without a light, it looks like daytime. If the moon is out, it looks like a sunny day in the middle of the night. The visibility in low light is absolutely unreal. It's WORLDS better than any other cam I've used, and quite a few 'daytime colour' night vision goggles I've used. It's simply astounding. In the daytime, the HDR mode helps sort of 'flatten' the image somewhat, so you get a good look into shadows, but you don't wind up with bright sunlight overexposure. The quality of the image is incredible. It has decent motion detection, a reasonably bright spotlight (that I just about never use because I don't need it for imagery), and not bad sound. I think the location I have it against the corner of the house makes the sound have some weird echoes, but that's not an issue with the camera as much as the location. I can't speak to the quality of the speaker for 2-way audio, as I've never tried it on this camera, but I just want them to make ALL of their cameras this good. The app is decent. It has some negatives here and there, as they all do, but compared to some competitors in the market space, the app is clean and usable. I've had no issues with it for detection or recording or notifications. All have been pretty easy to set up and customise.

Bought this with some 810s and really happy with them. Picture quality is excellent, good night vision and easy to set up with frigate

First reolink came I bought. I guess I'll list the pros first. Feels pretty sturdy, well built. Easy to aim. Not much ghosting when u have a street light. Can see a long ways. Motion, pet motion, vehicle detection, person. Line cross detection, area detection. Lotts of security features. Has onvif but didn't bother to try with third party. Has a reset button on the end of the cord. Is poe and have a 12v dc female jack. Restart speed is ok. Some negatives are. Wish the housing was smaller, be nice if had led on the rj45. Not much controll over the streams. Substream or fluent stream is h.264 and cannot change. I'm thinking all streams are h.264 other than the 8mp setting. Kinda uses up bandwidth more.when the led lights are on it washes out the image. Camera do get a little warm to the touch likes most cameras. The field of view isn't great. Overall the camera isn't that bad. If it was a lil cheaper, like around the 75-80 dollar range it would of been a 5 star review. I have a 128gb sd card installed and also a reolink rln36 DVR that this camera is recording to. I'm slowly replacing my old camera system with reolink. I was going to go. With hikvision but I found there low end stuff to be still pricey and do not offer as much as reolink. The reolink app with its so many motion detection features are so much better than the hik connect.

So, I have a few brand name cameras running 1/1.8" cmos sensors, I purchased this one because i wanted a 8mp and 25fps as advertised. In contrast, Its not as good as the 4mp in brightness, the clarity is great, and the night color is slightly orange, however its brilliant. Connecting to a Dahua nvr is simple, but limited to onvif so no real features, I decided not to keep this product as I run dedicated nvrs and was more curious. I did give this to my neighbour, wacked in some sandisk max endurance cards, added 4 port poe and bought another cx820. They're running the reolink app, local recording, ai detects humans, cars and animals. and lastly, they're loving it. I am contemplating buying a cx810 as i want to tinker and add some 8mm lens's as these run M16 mounts.

Awesome, replaced my 833A camera that wasn't doing the job. Even with the spotlight on it wasn't clear. Street lights give enough light. Microphone is also better compared to CX410. First pic is the 833A, second is the CX820. This camera also has a bunch of new detection settings that work really well. Definitely recommend.

Excellent camera for the price. The native home assistant integration is a nice feature. Night vision is very clear. The field of view is not nearly as wide as my hikvision but for half the price I can’t complain.
