I didn't know if I needed a lighter Violet/lavender colour and I had ordered and received a darker shade. I chose this violet white and it suits my bedroom just fine.

I was hoping that it would be much paler shade like on the tin. But much darker. But my daughter is happy with it.

The true colour of the paint has no relationship with the Dulux colour chart even though they might claim that background and other details of application have a bearing on the the dried finish this is more like the 1980/90s fashion for white with a hint of ...in this case violet it is so faint that I could of obtained the same finished colour by emptying a felt tip into a bucket of white emulsion and saved £25 or so after covering half a wall decided to call it quits and buy something else that at least had a discernable colour when dried I accept it is sold as violet/white but the emphasis is on the violet not the white so be aware if a shade of violet is what you desire and not a shade of white otherwise it's a Dulux paint with the usual Dulux benefits of coverage durability and little or any odour
