Duralex - Paris Clear Dessert Plate 20,5 cm 8 1/8" s/6

Exactly what I was looking for. This is a dessert size to small salad size plate. Perfect for chips and a sandwich. Of course these are glass and can break. Even my white Corningwear had a dropped plate recently shatter! In regular daily use, I have not had chipping during routine hand washing. Note I do not have a dishwasher and they do get josheled around in a sink full of dishes. I have bowls I use to cook in microwave too. I love the weight of these! Just right.

Elegant. Perfect size for lunch or a light dinner. Remarkably sturdy for such a lightweight product.

Update: Glass plate exploded in my cupboard, sending shards of glass all over inside cupboard and with enough force to open door. Barely any pressure on plate, and no heat changes. House is 70 degrees at all time. I googled this product and apparently, this can happen with tempered glass and especially with Duralex. This product appears dangerous. I am hoping seller sees this review and contacts me for return. i bought an entire set of these dishes, pasta bowl, dinner plates, and desert plates. Yes, the dinner plate is on the small size, but I like smaller size dinner plates. (Large dinner plates are heavy,and often have problems fitting in cupboards,) They are beautiful, fit in cupboards perfectly, clear and shinny. I can put any color underneath--placemats, or chargers--and the clear (crystal) doesn't take away from the food presentation. In fact, the simplicity of the dishes showcases the food. I ordered these as an opened package deal, so these plates weren't perfect when they arrived (but they were super cheap!). I've been pleased with them so far. I ordered these plates for my toddler daughter to have something similar to what she uses at school. These are durable and they are a great size for an adult snack or lunch, or a toddler meal. I feel safer putting hot foods on glass or silicone instead of plastic, so these are perfect plates for her dinner. She gains confidence from using more grown-up kitchenware successfully, and I love promoting her development and self-confidence without risking my lovely, hard-to-find real dinnerware.

I've had these for 2 years. Yesterday I heard a popping explosion in my kitchen and couldn't find the source. Today in opened the dishwasher to add dirty dishes and found that one of these plates had exploded. The dishwasher had not run yet so it want due to heat. I can't think of a reason why it just exploded out of nowhere but I guess I am now like the other reviewers who have had this happen. I'd really like a replacement.

i have the set of plates, dessert plates, bowls and glasses from duralex. i open the box and accidently dropped one and i thought OH NO! I have tile floors!! And just like they claim.... it did not break! Now that is the dish for me! :)

Plates look like picture. However, the logo Duralex and "Made in France" are both printed in raised letters on the top side of the plate. What's up with that? Printing should be on the bottom side of the plate. Sending them back.

Beautiful, amazingly strong and a multi-purpose dish. They clean up like a breeze and add interest and class to any table! I love these and will be ordering more for myself as well as for gifts. Quality and beauty!

These plates are a good Dessert size......... happy with the purchase
