I got these blankets for our dogs. Our aussies sleep with blankets at night and I like the simplicity of muslin blankets because they are easy to wash and baby blankets are a perfect size. These are a jersey cotton material, which I did not really think would matter because I was thinking "soft blanket, good size, perfect".If you have dogs, these are probably not the blankets for you. If you have kids, these blankets are really nice.Our aussies love these blankets. When I wash them our senior aussie loves me to take them warm out of the dryer and spread them out on her bed so she can rub her head on them. She loves her blankies.I don't love these blankies because unlike the muslin cotton, the jersey cotton holds on to dog hair like it is getting paid extra money to do it. The hair does not come off unless the blankets are washed AND dried on low. Shaking the blankets does not work. Vacuuming the blankets does not work. The hair sticks.These blankets are easy to wash, but I am worried that the hair that goes in to my washing machine (I usually shake items out or thoroughly vacuum them before) is going to clog something. I usually line dry dog items, but these I run through the dryer on low to get the dog hair off.The blankets are soft and a great size.

I am a firm believer in, a swaddled baby is a sleeping baby. But if you have a bigger, longer baby, then those standard receiving blankets just won’t do. These blankets allow you to provide a secure, comfortable swaddle so baby feels an ultimate sense of security and reassurance. My little guy is a fantastic side sleeper. There is just enough stretch in these blankets for me to pull that last corner across his chest then tuck it beneath him at his side then roll him on top of it to really keep him secure. I tuck his quilt over him and he has 2 four hour sleep sessions back to back then sleeps another 2 hours with only short intervals between each one for a bottle and a change. And at only 5 weeks. Moms, do yourself a favor and order these blankets now so you’ll have them on hand when your newborn outgrows their receiving blankets.

Very soft and comfortable. Durable. Doesn’t shrink in the wash. Large enough for growing baby. Able to keep baby warm when needed. Absorbent when baby spits up. Neutral colors so great for boy or girl. Great for swaddling if need be. My son is 3 months now and long but it still does the trick. If this came in an adult size. It’ll make a great throw or summer blanket. Although might be thin for an adult, it’s perfect for baby and my dog ended up stealing one for himself and loves it. Oh it’s also easy to clean after a blow up - no stains! Even on the white one! Design is also great for baby stimulation.

I love these cotton receiving blankets, I had the thin fannel ones with my son and didn’t care for them much but I used them, I have to say I Love these ALOT better they are just a tiny bit thicker, but still thin enough to use whenever! Especially fall! I feel like you could swaddle in these easily because they do have alittle stretch to them but not a ton and that’s ok with me I believe that makes it perfect, there soft and very good quality! Highly recommend, good nap time blanket, car seat, anytime, and even cover up while nursing! Good to have in diaper bag all the time. Can’t wait to use these for my little girl 💖

These blankets are the best! I literally use them all day everyday for my little one. The fabric is soft and stretchy. I have washed them many times and still look as good as new.

We were taught at the hospital 2 different but very simple swaddling techniques. By the time we left we were confident in how to effectively swaddle our newborn, only to discover the blankets we had at home we had intended to use for swaddling were either way to small or way to big. We had smaller fleece swaddle blankets that worked for a week or so but she quickly grew too quick for them to hold her in a swaddle. We also had muslin blankets that we tried but weren't expecting them to be so large, we couldn't figure out what to do with all the extra material.Then I found these Amazon Essentials swaddle blankets. They are well made and the stitching is quality. They are super soft cotton and are a perfect and normal size for a 0-4 month old baby. They also have some stretch to them making it easier tuck extra blanket in where necessary. These became the only blankets we used to put her to sleep for 4 months, until she started rolling from back to front. We still use these as light blankets for car rides and naps. Well worth it.
