love this! I am not sure why DJI doesn't just do Arca Swiss to begin with. It is like the standard for mounting plates, yet, DJI feels the need to have their own plate. I always have to upgrade to an Arca Swiss plate when I get a new gimbal. anyways, great product and will get the job done!

I'm have no idea why DJI doesn't make their quick release plate that comes with the RS4 Mini gimbal compatible with the Arca-Swiss standard. That being said, Small Rig has come to the rescue with a product that does what DJI should have done in the first place. This product is very high quality. I know others make similar products, but I chose SmallRig because of the good experiences I have had with their other products.

The original base plate for the DJI RS4 Mini is an oddity. It's ALMOST Arca Swiss-compatible, but not quite. The majority of my vast, vast collection of Arca Swiss plates doesn't fit on it, which is infuriating. Why would they use a design that's ALMOST a standard, but not really? It's baffling. This SmallRig base plate, on the other hand, works flawlessly with ALL my Arca Swiss plates. Not only that, but it also works with the original "proprietary" screw-in plate that DJI provides. They're THAT close to meeting the standard, while deviating just enough to be infuriating. I'm all other regards, this base plate is equal in quality to the DJI original. The gear track, the safety pin channels, the smooth operation, the range of adjustment, even the measurement markings. Nobody is giving up any functionality with this product, it's just an improvement. It's how DJI should've made it in the first place.

This SMALLRIG quick release plate fits my DJI RS 4 Mini perfectly and feels super secure once locked in. The quick assembly makes it easy to swap gear, and the anti-drop design gives me a lot more confidence when I’m shooting.

This enables me to mount my R5 Mark II to the RS 4 Mini with just a Peak Design capture clip baseplate attached (which is arca-compatible). Love the speed of the workflow - mounting via a regular arca baseplate maintains the hybrid functionality of the camera, so I don't have to switch out to the bulky DJI plate and lose access to my peak design anchors etc. Also helps the camera sit lower. My primary complaint - I would prefer a locking lever over the knob. Although it's knurled and easy to get a good grip on, you can't turn a knob as tight as a lever, and I also have to frequently check the knob and make sure it hasn't loosened over time. With a lever, you have constant visual confirmation that everything is locked in place. Everything else is great so I am hopeful that Smallrig will revise this design in the future. I also wish that the arca receiver was more of a rectangle. This would give you a little bit more lateral room to work with when mounting a wide camera to the narrow RS 4 Mini. My R5 Mark II sits a few millimeters to the left - not enough offset to cause concern, but something that could be easily mitigated with a revised design.

This thing is a game changer. I thought I would have to give up using my gimbal to be able to run a cage on my FX3a since you can’t slide it in with the built in arca mount. But this solves it. High quality. Great price. Fits well. Not sure how anyone could give it less than 5 stars personally.

The SMALLRIG Quick Release Plate Adapter for Arca-Swiss (5336) is a fantastic upgrade for the DJI RS 4 Mini gimbal. The build quality is excellent-made from durable aluminum and stainless steel, it feels solid and matches the gimbal’s finish perfectly. The anti-drop design adds peace of mind, and the adjustable sliding mechanism makes balancing my camera and smart phone quick. It integrates seamlessly with the RS 4 Mini, making setup and accessory changes much faster and smoother than the DJI stock plate. This adapter definitely makes the RS 4 Mini easier functional and more efficient to use for serious shooting!

Indispensabile se usi sulla macchina un cage che abbia la base compatibile arca swiss (come quello della stessa SmallRig). Ti sarà possibile agganciare al gimbal direttamente macchina e cage senza altre piastre ed otterrai anche un baricentro leggermente più basso della piastra originale Dji. Il prodotto é rifinito e funzionale come la maggior parte dei prodotti SmallRig. L’unica pecca é che se lo acquisti a prezzo non scontato, non costa proprio pochissimo. Attenzione! Qualcuno ha scritto che con questa piastra non si può ruotare la camera in verticale. É falso, perché la rotazione della camera in verticale sul gimbal non dipende da questa piastra ed è sempre possibile.

A good alternative spare part for DJI original. I specially like that I can use a small Arca Swizz plate with this. This (and some extra plates) is a good thing to keep as a spare part on shooting. Happy with the purchase, would buy again.

Qualité de fabrication Comme souvent avec SmallRig, la qualité est au rendez-vous. L’adaptateur est en métal, bien usiné, avec une sensation de robustesse immédiate. Aucun jeu une fois le matériel fixé. Système de dégagement rapide Le mécanisme est fluide et sécurisant. Le verrouillage se fait facilement et reste bien en place, même avec un équipement un peu lourd. Le dégagement rapide fait gagner un vrai temps lors des changements de configuration. Compatibilité et usage Compatible avec de nombreux rigs, cages, trépieds et accessoires standards. Très pratique pour passer rapidement d’un setup à un autre (trépied, poignée, slider, etc.) sans avoir à tout démonter. Utilisation au quotidien Idéal pour les tournages, le streaming ou les setups photo/vidéo évolutifs. Une fois installé, on ne revient plus en arrière tant le système est pratique. Conclusion Un accessoire simple mais indispensable pour gagner en efficacité. Fiable, solide et parfaitement adapté aux configurations vidéo modernes.

Fits perfect, allows very quick swap with standard plate, as others have said, this should have been the Dji design, also makes balancing way faster.
