A Tiny Project ***** BIG Fun and Joy
OZJAY Coffee Time is a Corner Of Happiness 1:24 scale miniature build kit. These tiny kits start out a little fussy with their base up construction, but they are well worth the effort. You will get 12 - 15 hours of hands on focused relaxing down time, and the reward is a tiny miniature world to proudly display. My first Corner of Happiness kit was a more complex one, and I had no idea how tiny it was. It was an impulse buy and I didn't read the full description. It sat for 3 months before I decided to tackle it because I was a bit intimidated by the size of everything, but once I started it I was hooked on these kits. The kit includes a 3 sided dust cover with a top (you put it together) that is a functional part of the kit. Do not glue it to the base as being able to lift it and view the tiny world you've created is part of the fun of displaying them when done. The back wall of the coffee shop is the fourth wall of the dust cover. The kit also comes with a small square of sand paper and a tube of mystery craft glue. The labeling is all in Chinese. I usually just replace it with Aleene's Tacky Glue 3 in 1 formula which is non-toxic, pet friendly even around birds, and works well in multiple types of applications. Do Not use Super Glue. You want a little bit of adjustment time as some parts like the base it's very important that they be truly squared at the corners. You will need to provide batteries for the lighting, a small sharp pair of craft scissors, ruler, craft knife, and tweezers. Place small details as they are created back in the box so they don't get lost. I find tooth picks for precision application of glue to small components to be helpful. You will also need good lighting and if you don't have excellent vision a strong pair of cheater reading glasses or craft magnifying glasses. Cut things out as you need them so that you don't lose anything or forget which parts are which. An old expired credit or gift card to help smooth large paper details when gluing them in is helpful. Once you've done a few of these they are really very easy to put together. The fun is in making all the tiny details. There are Step By Step build videos on line if you get stuck or just prefer active video guidance. Daniel Builds YT are my favorites and go into depth about tricky spots and solutions. This one has a series, he is going step by step and sharing what went wrong and problem solving. And you don't need to use all the clamps etc. that he does. I do these all the time and I don't use them. They may make life easier, but they are not strictly needed. These kits are all about the details and you get a lot of enjoyment out of a tiny project that doesn't take up much space to display when done. These are not expensive at their regular price, and at $13.49 on discount they are an excellent value. Grab your Corner Of Happiness now. They also make great gifts (either the kits or the finished project.) Oh...and it's OK to add a few details of your own to customize.

Small
I’d had several nook books I’ve done in the past, but this was a little something different. I’ve also worked on doll house miniatures (at 1:12 scale) so this is a little bit different (at 1:24 scale). I needed to use google translate to read a lot of the writing on the box, the instructions, etc. but that’s not too hard to manage. Overall, it’s super small (3.5” square by 4.5” tall), so I don’t think this is something that a newbie should start out with. It’s more of a display than a nook. Overall, it’s cute, not overly hard to build, and the quality is just what you’d expect from a craft like this. It’s a little pricier than I’d pay again, given how small it is compared to nooks and their price of around $50.

Adorable Little Coffee Shop DIY
I had such a great time putting this together! There are a lot of little parts, and this kit also involves having to cut out many things to glue on, but I actually find that fun. It's small, but it definitely takes some time to complete. Some may find this type of DIY tedious and not very exciting, but not me! I love all the little bits and pieces. Once it's completed, you feel so satisfied with your work. I do recommend getting a decent craft glue to work with.

patience and steady hands and precision tools needed
definitely not for kids I've put in about 4-6 hours of active making into this kit and I'd say I'm about 75% done. I've made 3 other book nooks from rolife, and I'd have to say, I am finding this kit is far less enjoyable to build. first it was missing glue. but even if they had provided that I would still advocate to use a stronger multi surface glue AND a strong CA glue that's because everything is tiny and the kit was not designed to optimize glue contact surface area. the handles on the cup are 1cm wires that you bend and have to glue onto a tiny 8mm bead there is almost no glue contact surface for the window shutters. consequently you have to either use CA glue and/or give the glue a few hours to cure there's a lot of small paper and wire crafting with this kit. perhaps I lack the skills/tools or sufficiently precise scissors/xacto knife but I found this not fun. wrapping the edges of a thin wooden wall with a tiny sliver of paper is not fun. that said it's coming together and things look good from a distance

Fun cheap craft night(s)
When I tell you this is not a cute 1 hour craft it truly is not. It takes HOURS and even then it might take you even longer. This is my second miniature kit and I highly recommend a work space with a lot of light and some tweezers lol. Maybe some relaxing music as well. These kits imo can be fun because they are a challenge. I have long nails, am impatient, and clumsy so this really tests me and while it makes me want to rip my hair out I do enjoy it. I will add that yes the directions are in a different language, but I did not find the images that hard to follow you just need to spend a bit more time so you do not miss something. I did not have any missing parts. The size is quite small as it is a miniature which I think would be great on display in a kitchen. Overall, I think for the price of 14.99 the quality is good, but just be aware this will take you more hours than you expect!

Advanced DYI miniature house kit
This DIY miniature coffee house kit is perfect for people who enjoy working with tiny parts to build something. This is not one of these kits for little kits that can be assembled in a few minutes. This is a multi hour multi day project that requires exact cutting and assembly. Perfect for arts and craft people like my wife, but not for someone like me who prefers more substantial tools and projects ;-) The size is 1:24 scale (tiny) and I was actually impressed by the quality. I expected just plastic, but there are lots of wooden parts and the final product is actually quite beautiful. My wife already hinted at wanting one of their other sets.

Easy DIY kit
This kit is super simple to put together and also has lights that you can figure out how to connect. It is quite small compared to other DIY miniature kits. If you are looking for something to keep you busy. But not for a very long time, this is a great option to go for as a hobby. It's a great value and has almost everything that you need to get started.Such as the glue it comes with. No missing parts and looks so cute on my coffee shelf. Great value for what you're getting.

You'll need some patience
The instructions for this kit are in English and there are lots of photos, which helps. I've never done a kit like this before and I did expect it to take some time. I was kind of hoping it would involve some pre-printed stickers, but there's a lot of cutting and gluing involved, which adds to the time. I don't mind it taking time, but I hate cutting stuff out, so I find myself not doing long sessions with this. I put in some time when I get frustrated or bored, I take a break and come back to it - usually a few days later. And also, since you're gluing, you just have to be pretty precise about how much you use, otherwise things get a little sloppy. Next time around, I'll see if there's anything out there that involves less cutting and gluing.
