Very sturdy and well-built catio!
This is a great catio! My cat, Mischief, is huge, weighs 20 lbs, and has been known to launch himself at window screens if there's a bug or lizard to chase. That made me concerned about this purchase. I need not have worried - the screen they use is a sturdy metal that I'm not sure he could get his claws into to climb, but if he does, I doubt it will even show a mark. The structure is also very sturdy. He's enjoying jumping from platform to platform and there's no wobble anywhere. The screen mesh is small enough to keep bugs out, so I'm enjoying having the window open and getting a breeze inside now. I couldn't do that before because Mischief would have easily knocked out a normal window screen. I had a handyman come to install the catio because I'm not at all skilled, and he was pleased at how easily it all went together. Everything was cut and drilled as expected. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! (And Mischief is very happy, too!) One thing I'll be adding is a little weather stripping around the catio doors. I live in Florida and the small gaps around the door edges would let our prevalent small lizards and bugs in. However, that's an easy thing for me to add. In the photos, you'll see my temporary paper weatherstripping where the gaps are. As you can see, the gaps are not very big and will be easy to block if you also live in a bug-prone area.

Incredible value for a quality product for your cats
Although the box was badly damaged, the cateo was not. I did report this to Amazon and was able to send pictures and communicate with the persons involved. The cateo took about 3 hours for me and my son to assemble. Then another hour to put it on my house. This is because my window was very tall and had a huge metal frame around it. It barely fit but we were able to attach it. The cateo is very sturdy and well made. The parts are numbered and the hardware is separated. I have 5 cats and they all seem to like it since they are now indoor cats. I live in the Midwest so when it's cool out I wait until the afternoon sun comes out to open the window. My cats are happy with the product and so am I.

Cute, but a pain
I spoil my cats, unfortunately, and was looking for something to enhance their area and give them more room to lounge. I fell in love with this catio when I came across it. It's meant for a window and that was my original intention but after just assembling the meat without the potatoes I was exhausted. I built it myself, alone, and it took 3-4 hours. The main part of the pain was it doesn't come with an instruction booklet. They only provide a video within the ad and it's just a little over a minute long. The lady in the video talks fast and some of what she instructed didn't make sense to me as far as which screws I was to use for certain parts. She seems to be laughing towards the end, too. Not sure if I was offended. Lol But after putting the main unit together I decided it would be better sitting on the porch than struggling to attach it to the house. It's large enough to add small cat trees to and other fun items. I chose to sit it on top of a smaller shelf rather than adding the triangles at the bottom. I like it on the porch because the screen seems to block the sun and also we've had a lot of rain lately and the inside gets a little wet but not drenched or anything. The cats have been using it so I'm happy. They need to appreciate all my labor. It's priced at a little over $200. I'd say it's worth it if you're going to utilize it how it was meant and using and constructing all parts. I do wish they sold the main piece at a cheaper price because I'd love another for the other side of the porch. It's a very attractive piece.

Cat love watching the birds and squirrels from their new catio.
This is very stable, was relatively easy to put together, the instructions were pretty straightforward and my cats really enjoy it. You do have to be mindful of the small details as you’re putting it together, but that was expected. We haven’t needed to clean it but if we needed to, it’s pretty easy to just hose down.

A great product at a great price!
I was very pleased with this item. It is very well built, easy to assemble, it took 2 hours to assemble, the wood is stained grey, the screens are metal and will keep out all bugs. I live in Florida and will need to bring it in during hurricanes so I used a table as a stand and only attached it to the house with 2 of the 4 metal brackets that were included. This is a wonderful product at a great price.

Cute catio!
Was easy to assemble, looks great on my house! We will see how it holds up weather wise but product is sturdy and I can’t wait to make it comfy for my girl.

Happy kitty!
My adult son, who lives at home, adopted a kitten that was stray in the neighborhood. He has a great double window that we can see from the kitchen window and faces towards the fenced-in backyard. My husband put this together on a hot day in direct sunlight, so it took four hours+ to complete with breaks. He is a very judgmental individual when it comes to items that must be built. He gave this 5 stars. It was easy to put together, and even though it is slightly more narrow than the double window we have, we still managed to make it work. Yesterday was stormy for the first time since install, and the screens and top kept a ton of water out - so no issue with flooding the floor of the catio, which is very thin (thin, but functional). We are looking for outdoor style carpeting we can put in the catio to help add some padding to the inside floor. Right now it doesn't matter with the kitten - she is about 6 months old and only a few pounds. Even with our other two housecats, who are the laziest cats alive and very fat, I believe would do well in the catio. The base is held up properly and we feel safe with it. Lilith, our grandkitty, is LOVING IT! She was a little timid at first, as we do not know how long she was outside before we got her, but she definitely does not want to be outside again. So, it took a little coaxing for her to know this was a safe space and once she learned that, she fell in love. We even wave to her from the kitchen window :) Until she is adjusted, she will not meet her furry family - and once the other cats get a chance at being in the catio, wow... can't wait to see that day happen!
