It is a sponge ink pad
I was hoping to find a fabric made ink pad instead of sponge. It works fine as a sponge.

Instructions should be included in their Amazon listing
I received the ink pad today and was very disappointed. The instructions on the back of the package (instructions that were not listed in the description on Amazon) reads: "Cover with paper towel. Iron on high for 3-5 min." Seriously? If I would have known that it needed to be ironed (especially 3-5 minutes - is that a typo?) at all after applying - I would have never bought it. It will be returned. If you are considering buying this item - here are their instructions on the back of the ink pad: Stamp. Let dry for 24 hours. Cover with paper towel. Iron on high for 3-5 min. Hand wash with cold water. (This was also not noted in the listing - which would be important - unless you want to hand wash everything that you used this stamp on).
