This was the first time I tried grow lights, so wasn't sure what to expect, but this is really working a treat. Feels like actual daylight, even late in the evening. Plus, the construction is quite versatile - the lamp can be attached to the ceiling, so it basically looks like a spotlight 👍

I bought this item to help the plants in the sitting room as there isnt much light during winter. Not really made any difference, sadly a number of plants died despite using the lights throughout the day.

You get what you pay for. First, the bottom line: it's a light that will probably help your plants grow. It has a built-in timer. It can dim and brighter. It's fairly stable when inserted into a pot. It comes with a USB brick and the USB cable is very long. It takes seconds to setup. It should keep your plants alive. It looks nicer than the industrial lights. Now for the ugly with these particular cheap lights. First, it's 5w. It wont be good for much except low light indoor plants. First, the default state is off. You cannot use a mechanical timer. If you unplug it and plug it back in, it will be off. If the timer turns it off, it will stay off when its time for it to come back on. the built in timer isn't a clock and it isn't accurate/can change over time. That 12 or 16 hours on timer will eventually drift one way or another. It could be longer or shorter. I really dont know how the manufacturer would get around this without some sort of memory or a physical, which costs a few more cents per device. IF you need to use a mechanical option, you'll need to cut the switch out and splice the wires to bypass it. If you do that, it works great! Full brightness all the time and can be plugged into any timer, including smart ones!

Really easy to set up! The light could be really bright I have it at the lowest setting right now, the color is very white coated because of all the different growing light spectrums they have I don’t preferably like it because my room is more of a warm vibe, but it doesn’t kill me lol and so far I really love the light (I know the plant looks sad. I cut them off from my main one outside and I didn’t let them grow roots in water so they’re trying to adjust, it’s there a 4th day in soil!!)
