Genuinely one of the best flash drives I've purchased
It's hard to screw up a flash drive nowadays, they're fairly old and reliable tech. That said, the quality on this one is incredibly nice. Even after a year of daily use, the grip on the port hasn't weakened or given away, the flash drive doesn't appear to have any slow-down, even when nearly full, and the small profile makes it easy to move around a laptop while it's plugged in and not having to worry about accidentally bumping, bending, or breaking it, all for a half decent price if you can nab it when it's on sale.

Great Supplementary Storage
I needed more storage space on my laptop - I DJ with it and the mp3 library was getting too big. This lets me put the music library on the USB drive and leave the internal drive for everything else. A few things about it: *It fits into my laptop very snuggly. My mouse receiver can wiggle a little but this thing is very solid, which is good if you are just leaving it in as an extra drive. *It's bigger than a Logitech mouse receiver but still small enough to leave plugged in. You should be mindful of it, though, when putting the laptop away etc. *Performance is a lot better and more reliable than other flash drives I've used. It's in a 3.1 port and I get roughly 340MB/s read speed, 110MB/s for short writes, and 65MB/s when doing larger file transfers. It never does that crap where it slows to a crawl like many flash drives do. *It gets warm, but not hot, for bigger file transfers. Though my laptop's aluminum housing is probably acting as a heat sink. *It works great with the DJ software, I can't tell any difference in how fast tracks load up. Overall if you need extra space on a laptop or PC this is a really solid way to do it. It's not as fast as an SSD, but for 95% of stuff you're not going to notice, especially if it's just supplementary storage. Just make sure to plug it into one of your faster USB ports as many laptops still have a 2.0 port that's fine for a mouse but terrible for a drive.

Perfect, Reliable Dashcam Storage for Tesla!
High Capacity, Quick Formatting, and Great Value for Sentry Mode. This Samsung FIT Plus drive is the ideal solution for any Tesla owner needing reliable storage for Sentry Mode and dashcam clips. Performance & Setup: It was easy to use right out of the box. Crucially, it formats quick in the Tesla system, and the speed is excellent for handling constant 4K video recording without dropped frames. Size & Value: The tiny, low-profile design means it sits flush and unobtrusively in the USB port. With 256GB, it offers lots of storage for cheap, making it a fantastic and cost-effective solution for saving many hours of footage. Application: I specifically used it in my Tesla Model X for dashcam clips, and it has worked flawlessly under continuous operation. No heat and easy to connect. If you need a high-quality, high-capacity, and low-profile drive for your Tesla dashcam, this is the one to get. I enthusiastically recommend this drive!

Great for Gaming! , Write Speed Could Be Faster!
Update 7/27/2020: I have continued to use the Samsung Fit USB 3.1 drives as my now "go to" flash drives of choice, I have purchased several of these in various sizes including 32GB, 64GB, 128 and even 256, (and more than 1 of each in most of these sizes). These drives have performed well in my vehicle, my laptop and most importantly my gaming desktop. In fact I have been able to play several older AAA (top rated graphics) games directly from these flash drives without any performance lag and actually performance increase in most cases, but a word of caution they DO GET HOT, like MOST flash media (including SSD drives) so I have found a way to manually "cool" my entire USB hub by using a cheap desktop fan purchased from Amazon! For all the people who say that these drives are cutting off and not being recognized, I restate my point above 1) heat from your usb hub or device "may" be the issue 2) You have to make sure that you have AT LEAST A USB 3.0 port or higher, most newer motherboards and even cars have this and some have USB 3.2 (blazing fast). 3) I have a much older gaming rig that is still amazingly going strong but I have updated it with USB 3.0 ports via a PC Express adapter (sold off Amazon). 4) If you are going to use these for a USB 2.0 port device or lower then just stick with a cheaper flash drive like Transcend or Sandisk that will probably actually perform better on an older (USB 2.0) device, and yes the write speed is about half as fast as the READ speed, I get about 190 MB read, and only about 50 MB write (Crystal Disk Mark), but that still smokes most older Hard Drives. Just my updated opinion! I bought this drive to use with a USB 3.0 port card installed on a older computer and as a supplement to another 32 GB Samsung Fit I was already using to speed up my system (Windows Readyboost). As long as you have USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports on your computer, or an adapter card installed you can get close to 200 Mb/s read speeds, using Crystal Disk Mark I got READ speeds at 189 mb/s and WRITE speeds at 46 Mb/s, (on PEAK Performance Test). mind you these speeds are still faster than my Seagate FireCuda Hybrid SSHD drive and any of my old WD classic hard drives (on my system ), but they wouldn't be faster than a built in SSD. As far as gaming I've been able to run most smaller games (less than 10 GB ) off of this drive no problem, this works well for many of those 2D and mini 3D games that you can find off the Steam Store and other places. However, I've tried to run some older AAA Title games like Far Cry off this drive and while it did load much faster than running it off my built in hard drive, it lead to game crashes and system reboots, but the problem could be that my Motherboard is to dated to handle those large data streams coming in from the PCI port ( its not even PCI 3.0 I think Installed USB 3.0 port, not built in). Overall though solid performance so far and with the faster speeds of these "cheap" USB drives as a gamer or maybe even some light video editing, these drives are a good alternative to eating up internal hard drive space! So far very impressed and so much that its convinced me to purchase a Samsung T5 external SSD, I definitely think SSD is the future of storage and with USB 3.1 Gen 2 the speeds are supposed to get ridiculous (side note) but I definitely think that these drives perform better for opening programs and doing gaming, and may be able to breathe life into an older system, providing you have at least USB 3.0, with 2.0 I wouldn't bother because the read and write speeds wouldn't show any major improvements.

Overall a good product (size, speed, temperature), but occasionally loses connection to computer
UPDATE: After 2.5 years, the occasional lost connection still happens -- but has not gotten any more frequent. Seems to happen only during longer computing sessions. Possibly temperature related, though drive does not get excessively hot. RATING: 4.0 stars. Overall we like the size, performance, and price. We mostly use this drive for weekly file backups, temporary file downloads, or for transferring large files between computers. Problem (minus 1 star): We may have received a defective one, as it loses the USB connection occasionally on any computer it's plugged into. Minor dislike (NO demerits): the Samsung FIT does not include any encryption software, such as that provided by SanDisk or some other brands. However, you could of course add your own encryption software if desired. BEST FEATURE (other than above-average read speeds) is that it doesn't stick out as far as most 'thumb' drives do, making it easier to store your laptop into a case or bag. READ speeds are very good, and near advertised (can approach 400 mb/second). WRITE speeds are usually acceptable (around 110 mb/sec for sequential writes, or 10-30 mb/sec for random writes), and noticeably better than an old 2.0 stick. It will occasionally lose the USB connection to computer (Win 7, 10, or 11, and Linux, too) -- usually after computer has been on for 30+ minutes. Sometimes it reconnects itself back in a few seconds, but other times it's only fixed fixed by unplugging it & plugging it back in. This is NOT a port issue, it's a Samsung problem because it happens on any computer we've used -- laptop, desktop, even a Linux machine, and it happens on USB 2.0 and 3.0/3.1 ports as well. The disconnect happens enough to be aggravating, perhaps 2 or 3 times a week. Twice, it's caused a downloading or transferring file to fail. So be aware, if you get a defective(?) one like we dit, data loss COULD happen. Had we realized the issue was there and wasn't going away, we would have returned it for a replacement. Would we buy Samsung FIT USB again? Yes, we'd try it one more time. Of note, a separate Samsung model (Samsung BAR PLUS USB 3.1, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BPG9YX9 ) has never had the disconnect issue the FIT model has. Side Note: We usually buy SanDisk or Transcend brand USB thumb drives, and have never experienced a defective one. We don't buy Kingston drives any longer, as we've had more than one fail suddenly after only occasional use.

Fast, compact, and reliable
This USB drive is a great choice. If you want fast, reliable storage in a super small design. Despite its compact size, it offers plenty of space for photos videos without sticking awkwardly outside of your device. It's perfect for laptops. It also is super fast as far as speed and has great capacity.
