For many months and probably years, we have regularly changed our white and black filters every two months. Then we had a drought of sorts that taxed our well to exhaustion. Think about the end of summer and the heat is still there, but no water. Think about spending more for bottles of water than other liquids. ...and so forth. We presently change our filters at least every 30 days and OmniFilter has been putting up with filthy filters near the end of the cycle. Long before the dry well, we used OmniFilter and will continue to do so unless some better product is available.I noticed in rereading this item that it sounds to be a story angst and calamity, it is an exposé of one of our company's performing its job at peak productivity and quality.

I received this product and installed it immediately considering my existing filters were pretty clogged. The very night these were installed, my house was racked by the 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Alaska. My neighbors all ended up with silty/murky looking water. This tends to happen when the aquifer has been shaken by a seismic event. At my house, our water was just as good as any other day. I checked the filters after running for another 48 hours, and you could easily see the silt they had removed. I am now on day 5 since the earthquake. My water still looks good, but I will be changing the filters, only because I know the last few days have far exceeded what any filter would be expected to take care of consistently. I am very pleased with this filter, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Easily installed and generates with the other filters clean water

Been using these filters for years. I have a water well with lots iron in the water. These filters really clean the water and help. I change the filter about every 3 months. When I forget to change the filter, the water pressure in the house can drop to a trickle. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the pump or pressure tank, but when I changed the filter the water pressure went right back up to normal. These filters do the job.

Exactly what we needed for our 20+ year old OmniFilter whole-house water filter system. Happy to find the String-Wound type that are meant for use with well water. Will definitely buy again.

It is so helpful to be able to order these online through Prime when I need them. They are a lifesaver for filtering the sediment and much of the iron deposit that comes out of my well.
