If you want to get tuned version of 5.11 Ignitor backpack, then this pack is for you)) I've compared them side by side, and this pack is much better for me, than the Ignitor (although I am 5.11 fan)The quality is great, it is made of 1000D cordura, very strong and heavy duty. It is ready for rifle carry, and you don't need to buy additional pouches for that (like 5.11 Ignitor)The capacity is not 40L, it is about 28L. Anyway, it is great for 2-3 day hiking. I love it so much!

The black one purchased came with a wide padded waist belt and nice knife holder.Material is super heavy -- i expect it to hold up well.The pack is single stitched making long term durability a concern.The zippers are complete garbage (see photos)The pull cords pull right off the zipper with little effort.I will attempt to bend the tab down to keep pulls on but fear they'll just break if cast type material.

Good thought, Horrible delivery! I totally agree with someone else's post the zippers suck! Zippers do not hold pull tabs at all, as soon as you turn this pack in any direction they will fall right off. Next there is no consistency from one pack to another. Many review says yes waist belt some say no waist belt, another says knife holder. I got a waist belt no knife holder. The pack I received was horrible. The hard plastic pack frame was deformed and would not fit correctly into the pack. Also in the description they don't tell you just how arched this pack will be off your back for ventilation. Even if you take out the plastic pack frame the stitching of the backpack will not allowed it to sit correctly due to the design with the molded piece. Here is an idea, the ventilation works good without that big of an arch. Stitch the padding directly to the pack get rid of the huge arch sow the pack correctly and maximize space and turn an ok pack into an exceptional pack! I work confined space rescue and thought this pack was the answers to my prayers for an awesome backpack with a helmet spot, I was clearly wrong. SHOP FOR ANOTHER PACK!

I would give this 5 stars but a little bit of the stitching was off. This bag has the features or other costing two to three times as much (owned by me). The main compartment clam shells revealing a large open main section with space for a water bladder in the back and mesh pockets on the front. The rest of the bag has man other zippered pockets and even a fold out pocket that can used to hold a shotgun or scoped rifle for hunting or long poles for hiking. The two water bottle pockets are below the retention straps so you secure other long skinny items. For a chinese backpack that includes molle to add additional pouches you can't beat this.

This is a great tactical pack, with many pockets and compartments. The shoulder harness is vented and well designed. A great value alternative to 511 packs. It has an expandable inner sleeve that can accommodate a rifle or other long items. The only problem I found is the zipper pull cords are not secure and can fall off.

I don't normally do reviews, but I felt compelled to in this case. This bag is super nice and much better than I was expecting and more than I had hoped for. High quality, tons of storage, all around a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.

Living in the mountains this is a great bag for overnight trips
