Good value
Good quality, very thin. But kindda fragile

Works great!
Excellant wire to use for fixing traces on circuit boards.

High quality, used as solenoid in HS physics class
I used this on the spool to demonstrate electromagnetism in HS physics class. Soldered on extra leads. Passed magnets through the center to show current production, then passed non magnetic iron through to demonstrate magnetic attraction. Just right with 12 volt battery source.

More practical and easier to use than 30 ga
Many electronics components involve magnet wire which is on occasion 30 ga...a pain to work with. When your project calls for small ga magnet wire, there never is a reason to resort to 30 ga. 28 ga is much easier to use and, for practical purposes, just as flexible. The insulation will remain on 28 ga thru temps of 200 degrees C. So I would not try to burn it off before use. It's better, faster, and more effective to use a metal file and scape it off. Use of a sharp knife will not be good enough and will produce wire divots .

Resilient enamel coating and well packaged
I used this wire to make an electromagnet for a school project. The protective coating had to be removed for connection to the circuit and I was pleased with the coating's resilience. 6 vdc battery made it warm to touch after 4 minutes, but it came no where near the 155 degrees it claims to be rated and I don't intend to test that limit.

Great product!
This has been put in very good use. Have had no issues with soldiering and will buy again.

Great for "Bodge Wires"
Good thin magnet wire to have on hand for making things (transformers, motor windings, magnets, etc), but also excellent for making repairs and modifications to PCBs. This stuff is easy to get a hold of, so we stock it in the lab. While it doesn't hold up to heat like silicone or teflon coated "white wire", solid core magnet wire is easier to bend into shape on the board, as well as burn off some of the insulation in-situ with your iron. Far preferable to trying to strip 30ga wire.

Very good quality and value
This wire in 28 gauge works great for winding coils/transformers etc. The insulating coating is the right thickness and it is perfectly applied to the wire so that it scrapes off nicely without breaking or weakening the wire when you're ready to connect it to something. The 4oz size is a good value and it will probably last me many years.
