Works perfect, perfect fit.
Perfect fit, works perfect. Solved the issue of the key not turning past on position to start. I transferred the key tumbler mechanism and then bolted everything back together. Car started right up. My daughter is very happy. Saved me a ton of money.

Great value, would recommend.
Works great on my MK5 (2006) Jetta GLI. My key was stuck in the ignition, and this solved my issue. Was able to keep the keyed portion of the lock so didn't need new keys cut, or any programming. Not quite as "smooth" as an OEM, but absolutely would buy again at this price point. Great DIY's on YouTube for replacement. Used a center punch and hammer to turn the shear head safety screws out, and replaced with Phillips head.

Fits my 2008 Jetta Perfect.
This repair wasn't too bad. There are youtube videos to walk you through every step of the way. This part fit perfect and has worked perfectly ever since the install.

Good budget option
Installed about 3 months ago and haven’t had any issues with it. The cylinder doesn’t turn as smoothly as the factory cylinder but for the price it’s a good alternative.

Worked on 08 VW Eos
This part fixed my ignition issue on my 08 VW Eos the ignition would not turn all the way forward to turn the vehicle on after the installation the car now turns on without any issues and at a fraction of the cost that the dealer wanted.

Do not buy!
It's cheap. It looks oem. But avoid it. It lasted only 2 months. Key stuck again. Seller refusing to replace item.

Excellent product
I installed this piece about a week ago, and it works just like the OEM VW Genuine product, which would cost about $120-$160. The two security bolts holding together are best removed by drilling a ~1/8" deep hole in the center. I started with the thinnest bit and followed it with the 7/64 bit. Then, you hammer in a T15 bit until it is snug and easily twist off the bolt. It requires minimal force. DO NOT try to cut a slit on the bolt with an oscillating tool to use a flat head screwdriver. It did not cut the bolt other than eat away the blade and scratch the bolt. Good Luck
