Worked with no extra steps
Replacement for my TCL q7 remote and the remote feels nice and tactical and seems quicker response time between button changes. It worked as soon as put in the batteries and I no longer have to use my phone temporarily to use my tv! Happy with the remote for the price I paid

Overall good, but Needs Improvement
Some of the buttons do no work intermittently. Eg. power button, home button etc. overall work’s good.

Non functional remote
Thos remote did not work for my smart roku tv. Could not connect to tv. Very light, it came with no instructions or batteries.

Great replacement remote, works right out of the box
I opened the package, put in the 2 AAA batteries, and pressed the volume button - hoping beyond hope that I didn't have to do some convoluted connection ritual. To my utter delight, the volume changed. I tried the channel button and the channel changed. LO AND BEHOLD, THE REMOTE WORKED STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE, NO HASSLE REQUIRED! It's fully plug & play ("plug" in the batteries). Occasionally a press of the volume/channel but doesn't take the first time BUT I believe this is a problem with my TV since my original remote was doing the same. The remote is lightweight but sturdy - it can handle a fall off the couch onto the hardwood without busting open. It feels comfortable in the hand, sleek. The buttons include a few common streaming networks. The settings button, power button, input, TCL home screen showing all apps... All work just as expected. This is a great duplicate remote.
