Mr. Pen Heavy Duty Stapler - 1000 Staples, 100 Sheet High Capacity

This stapler is amazing. First I want to note this review is written after 5 years of use. Problems I see in many reviews are jamms. That is because they are using light duty standard staples and it is easy to see in their pictures. This is a heavy duty thick stapler. It is built like a German tank. It is heavy and it must be to go through 150 sheets of paper. You cannot beat it for the price. Also, another negative that I saw in other reviews is people not understanding how to open it to place newstaples. You push the bar in and lift up. You can do it with one finger smooth as glass. Then place the new staples inside and replace the bar by pushing all the way in and down to let it settle. This stapler far exceds its price tag. You cannot go wrong with it I am a teacher and I save all my student work for data tracking and this little gem gets the job done. There was one review that said the screws came out. I will assume they had a jam from using incorrect staples and beat it on the ground or something because the damage seen in the picture is not from a screw falling out. That thing was beat senseless and it does not have scews anywhere it has copper rivets. Those are very different from screws. They used the wrong staples and then jammed it and tried to beat them out. In the future please notice there is a head release you pull the collar back and the end opens to release any jam. This is an honest review given for no other reason except that I see an injustice here. It is a fantastic stapler. Not pretty, it is a work horse. Go get yourself one!

Fantastic heavy duty stapler. The stapler is well made and is extremely easy to use even with the thickest paper packets. It produces a nice clean professional looking fastener regardless of paper type.

My stapler came in an open and ripped box, staples just thrown in. However, this thing is awesome!!!! I don’t know if it was supposed to come with instructions, but mine did not. It took a minute to figure out, but simple enough that I didn’t need to look it up. I instantly stapled a few packs of paper that have been sitting here waiting to be stapled and it worked so fast and easily. LOVE it!!!

It was a little difficult getting the stapler box out without any clear instructions. On the side of the box is a message something like “Tilt it up slightly and pull it out”. The second instruction of that compound sentence was more difficult than the first. The staples that come with it are not labeled as to size. There is a size directory on the stapler, but I don’t know how many sheets minimum I have to have in order use these. I tried them out on a two sheet stack and they are NOT for two sheets or probably anything less than 15-20. I might’ve preferred a small starter sampler of staple sizes (maybe 200) of each size instead of the 1000 of this one deeper size. (Looks like 1/2”) Still, for the price and the guarantee I found in the box (see photo attached), I’d say it’s a deal. I’m glad I made the purchase. I hope it lasts me forever. I was surprised when the old Swingline high capacity stopped stapling correctly for reasons I can’t discern but I’m too old and cranky to make it a part time unpaid job to figure out why my things don’t work. The trash bin and amazon are how I fix things. But now I have this guarantee and if it stops stapling and Mr. Pen is still in existence, I have a better solution.

I got this stapler to use at my job, stapling plastic containers called "clamshells" together. The clamshells hold gears sets for cars in them, so they need to be secure. The stapler comes with 1,000 heavy duty half-inch staples, perfect for stapling the 100sheets of paper together that this stapler is capable of stapling. It's a heavy duty type of stapler, so only uses heavy duty staples. Other types will cause the stapler to jam, from what I've heard, anyway. For stapling the plastic clamshells together, three-eighths inch staples (heavy duty ones) or quarter inch ones are best, though I've only used the three-eighth inch ones as we are out of the smaller heavy duty staples currently. The three-eighth inch ones work great with the stapler. So far, I've enjoyed using this Pen stapler, and if it ever fails to work properly, it comes with a Lifetime Warranty, which was another plus for me when deciding which stapler to buy. I'd highly recommend this stapler, and I'm guessing it'd work great doing just about any stapling job!

I had a hard time at first figuring out how to load the staples. I love that it takes different sized staples! It is very helpful to me as a teacher to have the ability to switch out staples depending on how many pages I am stapling.

Great stapler, good price, serves its purpose, looks good quality.

We called this the Full Penetrator in the office. I now have my own! na,ha,ha,ha,HA!!! If you still deal with paper this makes organization reasonably well tolerated.

I was surprised that though the ratings were pretty high on this product, it really didn't meet my expectations. First of all, there was a tear on the side of the box, which makes me wonder did someone just try to peep in to see what it is? Next, the product isn't stable when placed on the table. The black rubber was poorly manufactured. So, I returned this in the end. I took the risk to get something else indeed. And boy was I glad to do it, the next stapler I got met my expectations. None of the issues faced in this particular product.

Great for stapling large documents

MR PEN.Heavy Duty Stapler with 1000 1/2" Staples can do 100 sheets Capacity.Good Quality (no instructions),do you need them? They would of been nice for List of Staples it can use ,and Spring Loaded Openning? .Heavy Weight so Good Price.The supplied staples are not much use for less than 50 sheets (as they pierce the paper and you have to hammer flat),so you will probably have to buy more smaller staples.As mentioned by other reviewers you can get jams if you don`t use the correct heavy Duty Staples. Functions easily through 100 sheets like a Tank.
