While I like the idea of it being hidden in the vehicle, and installation was pretty straight forward. The downside of this is that I have never used it as it will not connect to my phone. I have tried everything from instructions to you tube, still no results. Tried to reach out to the company and of course they are in China and unable to resolve this problem. Too late to return the item so I'm out of $200. This is a waste of money, and I do not recommend anyone purchasing this item. Giving this even one star is too much.

So far so good. Easy install and quality video. Just be aware that on the product page it states it comes with a 64GB memory card, another area on the product page it states that it comes with 128GB. The box it came on also indicates it comes with 128GB card but it actually came with the 64GB. It also came with the GPS module that I wasn't expecting.

This Mangoal dash cam was super easy to install overall and I like the integrated OEM look to it! I have had a few different type of dash cams in the past and they all have their pros and cons. The biggest thing I look for is video quality, look, and how easy it is to get the videos off of the camera. I had a Garmin years ago that was pretty small but good video quality and had built in features that were nice. When I traded in the truck I didn't transfer the camera because I had it for about 3 years. Then I purchased a Nexar Beam which from my research was a "good" camera and well that was not true at all. Getting videos from it and connecting to it was such a PITA and every 4-6 weeks the camera would fall off of the windshield. I purchased a new 2025 Silverado 2500HD a few weeks ago and I was on the hunt for another dash cam, but something better this time. I did not know about these style of cameras, but my friend sent me a link and told me to check it out. I liked the look of it and the fact I could use the existing powered mirror to connect this to and not have to run wires and connect into the fuse box or take it to some audio store to install. It took me about 10 minutes to install this camera overall, and the only delay I had was clipping the housing back onto the windshield. I was worried I would break a clip or something and Iw as hesitant, but I finally just push hard and it popped right in. So I would suggest to not be scared to put a lot of pressure as long as you know you have the slips lined up correctly. In the video I have it recording at the highest quality which is 4k and as you can see it is super clear and on your phone or computer you can pause the video and make out license plates in vehicles you pass. I do wish that Mangoal had a way to add some new features to this unit such as GPS and maybe even a cloud version.

Installed this in my 2025 Silverado 2500 (LT). Packaging was very nice, included everything I needed to complete the installation. I read the reviews and paid attention to others comments...would recommend this to all. Most unnerving part was taking off the clip on housing, but once past that, it was easy to understand the connecions using the included instructions. I followed the manual exactly and everything worked perfectly. I did install the app on my phone, then disabled my wifi auto connect to my home router to ensure i could prefer the camera wifi connection when it came up. I also disabled the auto connect to the camera after I was done configuring it. I Did not need to disable or change any other functions on my 5G Android phone. Very pleased with the playback and clarity of the recording. It looks almost seemless.
