I have many Dewalt 20V tools, from drills and impact drivers, saws to garden string trimmer and blower. I don't use them professionally, but I do use them a fair bit. I also have the 5Ah battery packs, and a couple 1.2Ah. This one, 2Ah, with the battery level check button, is my favourite for most things that are small to medium and even some larger jobs. It has enough power to last for a reasonable amount of work in many tools, but is smaller and drastically lighter than the 5A packs (those I always use for the yard tools, saws, and for all day constant power tool use), which makes quite a difference on most tools. Having 2 or more batteries is the ideal of course (so you can recharge one while using the other). You can buy tools with battery (or 2 batteries) and charger, then after that, just buy the "bare tool" version of a tool, which is the same tool without the batteries or charger. I also have an adapter that lets me use uses these 20V batteries on some of my older 18V Dewalt tools, which is very nice. Compare to Other/No-Name Brand Batteries: My experience, though these cost a lot more, they also last a lot longer per charge, are better quality construction (though not a big factor), and I also find Dewalt batteries in general keep working well and strong for years, where most of the no-names I've tried just seem to die away after time, even with little use (though kept properly charged). One really great comparison is a youtube video that directly compares/tests these Dewalt batteries with some off-brand copies - search for "project farm dewalt". The batteries he tests against are available on Amazon as well. I definitely recommend the Dewalt brand name batteries over the off-brand ones, in the long run, I feel they are worth it (though I must say I also wait and get them on sale).
