"Why would anyone buy a modem," you might ask. I use a modem for only one thing: dialing the telephone. I make lots of phone calls in my work. I keep all my contacts' telephone numbers in Microsoft Outlook and use Outlook to dial my calls. When I began using a Microsoft Surface Pro as my main computer, I needed a modem that would connect to a USB port. This modem does just what I need.

This works with Windows 10 !!I tried other USB modems and they would not.Plug and Play easy setup.

I plugged in the unit and it was recognized by Windows 7. Unfortunately, I couldn't receive FAX's with the Windows 7 faxing program. I tried new drivers for the modem and still no good. I do have another usb modem that *does* work, so I'm fairly confident that this unit was not compatable with my system. I was using an internet protocol line and I suppose this may have contributed to the problem. From what I understand, modems like this work better on a regular telephone line. All in all, delivery was fast and a full refund was given promptly. I have no complaints with my transaction - other than the fact the product didn't suit my needs.

I had almost forgotten that I purchased this product. It was easy to install, and once installed has functioned perfectly. Since it has functioned flawlessly, I haven't given it a second thought. Very happy with this product.

Pretty easy to use, just plug it in. Windows found the drivers, no problem.

Acklucher has been amazing in trying to ensure that my order fulfilled my need. They got me my USB modem within days of my order! They also worked to ensure that I had the correct driver to interface the modem with my somewhat dated desktop. These folks back their products!
