It does have a strong alcohol odour to it, but when that burns off whilst cooking you are left with a nice vanilla flavour. I actually made a vegan caramel sauce today and the extract just brought the whole thing together, I'm very pleased with it. At the moment, I'm in the process of writing a recipe Ebook and all the recipes need to be cooked and tested, so a lot of ingredients are needed: extracts are difficult to find at a reasonable cost. However, this company offers a cheaper product and a second to none service; so I'll definitely be purchasing from them again soon.
