...anyone who appreciates the precision of Apple Product will also be very impressed by the executed quality. However, it should be noted that the the published data speed depends on the implemented working environment and there will be probably the bottleneck generated. I have already ordered a second Sabrent Rocket 2TB SSD and the Macbook Pro 16/ 64GB RAM is in best company. Not just an eye-catcher.

so far good unit us it in indoors and outside -13 deg so i will give good review cost more than 2tb usb drive but way faster and as far as i am concerned i will recomend this unit all my backup drives gone to old printer/monitor storage bin in workshop hope this helps

In my original review, I thought the problem was related to using it with a Mac, but after doing more research online, there are many people reporting similar failures online that are not related to use with a Mac. Mine has been getting worse, it gets harder and harder to have it connect, after only one year old of moderate use. So, I explored the option of using the warranty. First of all, nowhere could I find the actual warranty published except for in the Product Q&A here on Amazon. It claims one year regular, five years with registration. Okay, so I went ahead and registered. Then, went to the support ticket page, and it has nowhere to file a ticket. It seems they don’t actually want to give support, which is the experience others have had with their devices. I have therefore revised my review down to one star. For how much I paid, I’d expect more than a one year lifespan, and I’d expect some support. ——- Original review ———— This would be a wonderful, compact, fast drive if it weren't for one major glitch: it simply doesn't work about half of the time when plugged into a modern mac (Macbookpro 16", Macos Catalina). Today is a case in point: I wanted to transfer a large Final Cut Pro X file from a NAS using this, because it would take an hour over wifi. I put it on the Rocket Nano, it took a few minutes to copy. Then I plugged it into the mac: zero, zilch, zip, nada. Re-plugged. Switched USB Cables. Nada. NOW, after taking the time to find my order so I could write a review, and finding the file to do a network copy, suddenly the drive mounts (after ~15 minutes of being plugged in). If you're trying to get work done using a Rocket Nano, forget it. It does this kind of nonsense too often. It becomes temporarily useless for some arbitrary amount of time, but if you wait long enough, it may eventually decide to mount. I don't know if it's doing an extensive fsck or some other process, or if it's just flakey, but I do not experience this with any other drives. I would have given this 4.5 stars otherwise; the only other negative is the heat. It does get very hot. Otherwise, it would be good. I get around 900MB/S copy speeds when it's cool (and mounted). It is very light and compact. It has never actually lost data (as far as I know). However, if half the time it won't mount when needed, it is 2 stars at best. I wish I could give it a better review, it would be perfect if it weren't for this highly annoying glitch.

I'm totally blind! I got this being I was planning on switching from an old PC that was 13+ years old to a new PC. I needed something small to be able to transfer over 1.4TB of information at one go. I didn't want to spend hours at doing it. So I got this to give it a try! From my old PC that didn't initially support USB 3.x at all! But a few years back, I added an USB 3.0 PCI card so I could take advantage of that speed on that old computer. Extended the life of it. But anyway! That computer only support SATA 2 and not 3. So the transfer rate is going to be slower. Copying some ZIP files from the old computer to the USB Rocket Thumb drive! I saw speeds on that old system up to 8GB a minute. Very happy. Granted MP3 files and some other files still copied at about 60-70MBPS and the ZIP files was about 140MBPS. Now going to my new computer that is PCIe 3 and not 4. I was copying things from the drive zip files a good 700MBPS and MP3 and other small files at about 350MBPS. Yeh their was some that even went slower! But for the most part! the copys whir fast. Tried going to a M2M drive and also to a SATA 3 SSD. Speeds I was happy with. The computer I ahve will support PCIe 4 but th process I have doesn't. But the system will speed up to that if I buy a new processor down the road. I also like the fact that the drive is USB C. Even copying things from the new computer to the Rocket drive was very fast! What can I say! I'm very happy with this drive. Not often I give a 5 star review on things. It has to be very good and exceed what I was expecting. Most things do not exceed what I think it will do to start with. They normally come in about what I think they will. So they normally don't get 5 stars from me!
