Drum Controller match for Nintendo Switch Video Game Drum Master Controller Set - Controller Console Gaming Accessories Compatible for N-Switch Version

I was concerned about the quality of this knock-off controller, but after seeing the great reviews here and doing some research online, came to the conclusion that it'd be a good alternative to the more expensive HORI import.Unboxing was rough-- two of the no-slip pads on the bottom of the drum peeled off as I only removed the packaging it was in. But, no huge deal, attaching the stand included ended up covering these pads anyways.Putting it together was very easy, though my product did not come with the mentioned instructions included. It was also confusing to learn how to get the Taiko no Tatsujin game to recognize the controller once connected. I was able to do that by exiting the game completely, then restarting by using the drum's controller peripheral.This drum worked AMAZINGLY throughout my entire first day of play. I was shocked at how sensitive the controls were, the drum easily read soft and hard inputs alike and was very easy to get used to. Much better than the motion controls for the game. I put it through its paces for about 4hrs of normal and hard difficulty songs.However... day two, the entire right-side of my drum suddenly stopped responding to hits altogether, rendering it pretty much unplayable.It's a shame; unlike the HORI tatacon, this drum comes with a USB cable of fantastic length (so no need for an extension cable), and the Switch controller buttons being on a separate peripheral rather than on the drum's face is a much more intuitive design. Aside from lacking the cute Don-chan designs on the legs that the HORI has, I MUCH prefer this knockoff's design to the original.But, with my product only lasting for one day, I can't bring myself to give it another shot, and I'll be getting the HORI one instead. It seems most reviewers here are satisfied, so I don't know if theirs are always faulty but they haven't updated, or maybe I just got an unlucky bad pick. If you buy, I'd just hold on to the packaging for a while just in case.EDIT: Since writing this review, I purchased the official HORI tatacon and now that I can compare, the difference is night and day. The official drum is MUCH sturdier, with a drum face that feels strong and like it can take a beating. This knockoff, on the other hand, is light and flimsy in comparison. The drum face gives easily, to the point that you can feel the buttons underneath it. I suspect this is why it stopped working for me after a day.I also noticed that this product listing seemed to originally be for a controller for Mario Tennis-- many old reviews reference this, which inflated the score for the current product. Many other 1-star reviewers have had my same experience.Save your time and money and get the official drum!

I GOT THIS PRODUCT FASTER THAN EXPECTED BUT I WHEN I TRIED TO USE THE DRUM IT WOULDN'T CONNECT TO MY NINTENDO SWITCH THE WAY IT ADVERTISES, THE BUTTONS ARE UNRESPONSIVE, I NOT ONLY TESTED THIS OUT ON MY SWITCH BUT I TESTED IT ON 3 OTHER NINTENDO SWITCH'S TO MAKE SURE I WASN'T CRAZY. IT SAYS THAT IT IS PAIRED BUT WHEN I TRY TO USE IT, IT DOESN'T SHOW UP, I CONNECTED ABOUT 8 OTHER CONTROLLERS OF VARIOUS CONNECTION TYPES AND ALL OF THEM WORKED NO PROBLEM.I BOUGHT THIS GAME BEFORE COVID STARTED AND SHIPPING SHUT DOWN FOR A WHILE, I JUST REALLY WANNA PLAY THIS GAME, COULD YOU PLEASE SEND ME ONE THAT WORKS WHEN I RETURN THIS ONE, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT

I bought this in order to play the Taiko drum game on the Nintendo Switch. The drums themselves are pretty durable and you don’t need to strike them hard in order for the input to register. I like them a lot except for the fact that there is just a little bit of lag when I hit the drums to match the notes. I do recommend this but just know there is a small delay.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m really surprised with this drum! I was scared of buying it because of the mixed reviews but I really wanted to play the game with the drums and I didn’t want to pay the super over priced original one when it’s suppose to be the price of this one. I never had a problem with it pairing because I read some reviews about going into the settings first and turning on a control setting. I did that and it worked. I made a video showing where you’re supposed to go to help out and a small game play. I don’t have any problem with lag and it’s super responsive. I would buy again for a second player. Btw it also comes with an attachment where you can play off the dock.

To everyone who says this doesn't work out of the box...you must go to settings under Controllers and Sensor and make sure that PRO WIRED COMMUNICATION IS ON. My drum did not work at first and now it works perfectly!

Definitely the proper way to play drum and fun it's a lot of fun LOL, overall quality it's pretty good the only problem is is that when it's hooked up to the TV it lacks a bit so you can't hit the notes properly but when you have it hooked up directly to the switch pad it works perfectly the connection is a bit loose when it's hooked up directly to the switch but it's at least it works overall

So I was a little concern before I brought this, because some of the negative reviews, but I don’t want to spend that much money to buy the ‘official’ one, so I ended up decided to give this a shoot and this turns out working just fine. There is no delay at least on my drum. So, if you are on budget, buy this and it will fit your needs.

It took about 30 minutes to figure out how to pair these drums to my switch and then after a few games the entire right side of it stopped working. This is not a great buy and it’s better to just buy Nintendo’s drum set
