What a hoover!!! Bought this in the prime deals as our old Shark hoover wasn't doing well anymore. What made me go for this one was the fact it sucks dirt up forwards and backwards. I was under the assumption all hoovers do this but apparently not after researching. It came in one box, and you need to take everything out to see what you have before assembling. Instructions are very straightforward. Assembled well and did it by myself in a matter of minutes. Lots of information with the box about the different power modes and cleaning instructions. The handle has the on/off switch and also digital buttons for different modes (low pile, hard floor, auto detect etc) The auto detect is brilliant. If there is a purple light this means that there is still dirt under the hoover and you need to hoover slowly over it to suck it up until the light turns white. The amount of dirt this sucks up is incredible!! On a floor I thought was clean, it brings up more dust from in between the fibres. When the light changes from purple to white and vice versa you can hear and feel the power change. It is quite heavy, but with the power it comes with, I am not surprised! It is also very loud. When you first turn it on, it is almost as of it hoovers by itself. The vibrations set it going and you need to hold on. It is also very easy to dispose of the dirt in the canister. Press of a button and you carry it away to the bin and then another button to open the flap to dispose. Haven't yet needed to clean the filter so cannot comment on this part. Using the small attachments are also very good. Some brilliant tools for cleaning window blinds etc. Beware of the super suction though and perhaps put it onto a lower mode for this. Tip: when you start the hoover, you need to make the body of it click back from the roller part (like most hoovers), DO NOT let the roller part flop down. It is heavy and I reckon with constant flopping down it will damage it eventually. Instead click the body back from the bottom.

This beast is almost industrial in its ability to find dirt and hair. It is demonstrably superior to its predecessor and easy to weild on all surfaces. The added tools work well but I wish there was a better way of storing them on the machine - they have a tendency to fall off, particularly on the cable side. Not cheap, in comparison to other machine. Too early to say if it will last well but the Shark it is replacing gave me a decade before it died. It would still be going if I could get into the housing where the cable attaches but that is another story.

This is my second Shark product after purchasing a carpet cleaner of theirs i thought eh il treat myself to a Shark hoover and settled fr this one, After much debate im only giving this 4 stars though and il explain why.. Advantages Its an amazing hoover, easy to carry and use on the stairs, easy to clean, lightweight, easy to empty, hoover attatchments are brilliant the scent for the hoover disc is great (although I either became nose blind or it didnt last as long as I thought it should) Different modes- hard floor, carpet or detect (detect does have a pull on it and WILL pull you forward chasing the bits of fluff, hair or w/e it detects) Disadvantages 1-Works better on some carpets than others (if you have a carpet with the ridges where hairs get stuck in them it doesn't work as good and picks up about 50% of them and struggles to pick up the hairs stuck in the carpet) 2-it didnt last, this is my second hoover after purchasing the first one in July 2025 as I needed a more pet friendly one that could be split so it was easy to use on the stairs. Come 2 weeks before Christmas and my hoover stops working, it makes the noise but has no suction power, bear in mind this is not something I expect from a pretty well known brand whos products are raved about, I expect them to last longer than 5 months, bright side after speaking with shark then amazon customer service, they ordered it to be picked up 2 days later and a replacement dropped off the same day so I didnt have to go too long without a hoover dealing with 2 dogs and a toddler, for that reason im giving it 4 stars instead of 3 for how quick they dealth with the issue, my only hope is this replacement lasts longer than 5 months Other than that it is a great hoover, powerful enough to do its job, the longevity is questionable however but that aside, its worth it

I bought this vac as I’d bought a shark cordless one last year but after being unsatisfied with the battery life I wanted a corded one. Wow! I didn’t realise how much dust/dirt my carpets were actually hiding. I’m extremely happy with the power and cleaning capabilities. As some other reviews mention it is rather heavy especially when turned on as it pulls you forward requiring some effort to pull back. So whilst I probably wouldn’t recommend it for those with mobility issues as they may struggle I can’t knock any stars off as it is exactly what I was wanting.
