This produces a nice warmth which can be increased by covering with clothes, knee brace, and/or capsaicin patch. If I want hot I sometimes rub in a dot or two of capsaicin cream before this hot cream and then put on a capsaicin patch after the creams have absorbed (although I often tape the patch corners with surgical tape to make sure they stick). It is helping me sustain an exercise program. As a heavy side sleeper, I have recently been waking with pains in my side and back. I was poised to order a latex topper but I am putting that on hold. This hot cream has been helping relieve morning pain since I started applying it before bed time.

Wonderful stuff! I'm ANCIENT and have recurring back pain-usually in my lower back. Worked splendid for that pain-didn't even need to wear my back belt. Recently I got this weird "mid" back pain and this stuff worked a treat on it. Initially we had purchased this for my mate-he was having severe pain in his neck/shoulder/arm (we have discovered this is a chronic condition for diabetics) and it just didn't seem to help him, but for me it was just AWESOME! The "hot" sensation is similar to using camphor or some such, so it isn't "heat". It is soothing and the smell-well on me it smells like pickles! (weird, right?) My body responds to this IMMEDIATELY and I cannot say enough "good" about it-i'm going to purchase more to have on hand-Excellent product! (I would like to add that this is CRUELTY FREE!)

Seems effective, potential for sensitivity, including after use, in hot shower, sunlight, any form of added heat, radiant. I was aware of possibility from previous mild reactions to applied lotions, including menthol. my personal reaction, which I still believe manageable, balanced against effective pain relief. decent product, helps to ease the pain, without getting gut involved. pleased with purchase, but, it is a continuing test, just like real life. edit/add, use in smaller, amounts, more focused areas, seems a workable approach, simply avoiding sensitive areas, worth the pain relief. decent product. I am back! after continued experiment, I have found that additional application, couple hours later, can increase effectiveness. This can become a bit messy, complicated, but, when circumstances allow, worth the experimenting. I use mostly on my wore-out knees, so, when shorts -season comes around, makes for different circumstance. try it different ways, keep it out your eyes. back on the bike, it's summer!

I think I may be reviewing this product twice but its a great product. Hands down. If I have any muscle pain at all i reach for this cream. The deep heat sensation is very soothing. If you are an older athletic type (age 65+, tennis, skiing, workouts) you are going to want a jar of this on your shelf. First review I tried this cream on some of my achy areas . It works!! I have been using the cold press Hemp oil product for a while now as well. This cream is really great and it soothes ache and pain in a matter of minutes. Also it feeds the muscles. I use the cold press topically most every day. I use this hot cream when needed. So far it all works very good. The hot cream should also start to come on a tube for any on-the-go applications. Also at the current price I am going to get another jar to have in reserve.

Not as happy with this as I thought I would be!! It is not warm, it goes on cool and stays that way until it soaks in. It helped slightly, so not totally a waste. And to be fair I have been using a much stronger product prior to trying this one.

I'm happy I tried this cream out! I've had severe back pain for years after surgery, and have tried many, many different types of pain relievers. I prefer to use natural-based ingredients and this one seemed to have a little bit of everything in it. The heat-cold sensation isn't very pronounced, but I personally found the pain reduced. I have also been using it on arthritic hands and knees with favorable results. The smell is unique, herbal-fresh. I find the citronella to be an interesting addition to the ingredients list and feel that it's is the most noticeable scent but it dissipates quickly. I really like this product and will be reordering!

Tried many things for my knee pain, and this cream worked a lot better than any other remedy I tried before. I felt better minutes after trying it as it took my pain level down to a tolerable intensity (actually faster than pain pills) and it lasted many hours. It does have a minty scent, however it is not over-powering and the scent dissipates quickly. I am sold. I was so thrilled it worked for me that I shared it with friends and family to try (gave them a little sample in a small jar). It worked for them too! I bought more for my son and in-laws. Great for massages. I am on my second jar now. Highly recommend!

I've just awakened after an awful night's sleep because of this pain relief cream, a complete misnomer. I used it to alleviate an achy knee due to a meniscus injury. I've tried a different hemp cream before with success. I bought this one because of it's outstanding reviews and reasonable price. I used it around 6:00 p.m. and experienced a normal and expected amount of heat that subsided within the hour. Around 1:30 a.m. I awoke to an incredible burning sensation around my knee, specifically the softer areas inside and behind my knee. It was impossible to sleep so I tried washing my leg, hoping that would help. It did not. I spent three hours trying to dull the burn. My leg was only slightly pink and not even very warm to the touch, but the inside was on fire! I tried several remedies I found online with no relief. The only thing that worked was holding a cool, damp cloth against my skin and 600 mg of Advil. I scrolled through the reviews more thoroughly after this event and found several people had similar reactions. I haven't written a review in years, but this needed to be said. I hope I can save others from having the same experience.

This product is very good. The pain instantly just disappears so I ordered again but customs, prevented it from entering Australia. What a pitty.

It smells pleasant, didn't heat up like other cream's good for sensitive skin. Used for knee pain and back pain.
