With this work with my son’s iPhone 8?

I don’t see why not. My son uses with an iPad and they are GREAT! Def get a pair, nut just one. Fun!

Does the app need to be connected to internet to work?

It works with bluetooth. I don't think you have to have internet for it go work

Will this work with Garageband?

It seems a bit odd to me how this device isn’t compatible with GarageBand, yet is supported by more advanced daws such as Ableton. My reasoning for this sentiment has to do with the SpecDrum and GarageBand each acting as an affordable, entry level tool; primarily for hobbyist musicians. I personally would love to give the product a try, though like many non professionals I stick to free and affordable tools like GarageBand. Hopefully you’re able to eventually offer support. Thanks!
