I'm very much a begginer and only have a cheap iron to work with, but the solder seems to do a very serviceable job, far easier to get good joins than with the lead free sample that came with the iron. Flows well into the joins. The use of tip tinner made a big improvement too.

I bought this on January 3. At that time, the reviews here were very good. I did not try to use this until February 10 (7 days after my Amazon return window for the product closed). I can only guess that the formulation of this product (or the product itself) changed. This is a terrible solder. It really doesn't melt easily or flow well. I tried using hotter temperatures but that doesn't work either. It seems that the flux (if there is any) burns off as fast as the solder melts, leaving a goopy hot blob that's unusable.
